It's my weekend

Thursday, April 09, 2009

Whopee, nothing exciting happening, went grocery shopping this morning.

Daily calendar note for today:
Celebrate milestones. While your long-term goal may be to lose 50 lbs or more, each pound lost is one step closer-and each one deserves recognition! You never know whom you may inspire-including yourself!
What a GREAT note for today!

You inspire me with all your exercise and how much you do even in the heat. Do you feel OK after having your 2 teeth extracted? I would be in bed all day. Just been sitting elevating my leg after surgery. Its not hurting as bad as I expected. I put a cold wrap on it which made it feel better. Fixed supper took pills. Only spending small time on computer. Had to tell you.

Today's SparkPeople DAy at a Glance calendar note
Sleep just enough. In one recent study, subjects who slept more or less than 7-8 hours nightly were more likely to gain 11 pounds over six years. Too little sleep can increase appetite; too much means less time moving.

I did walk this morning but even at 8:30AM it was 85F so I only got in 1.36 miles in 28 minutes. I also did a 2.5 mile Walk Away The Pounds for Abs video.

Had the last of the 3 deep gum cleaning today and that one hurt the worst. Now I go back on Sunday evening to get 2 teeth pulled.

I know you need your teeth cleaned but I hate to hear you have to have 2 teeth pulled.

Daily Desk notes:
Fill up on fiber. Found in fruits, veggies, whole grains, beans and nuts, fiber will keep you fuller longer and reduce your risk of a variety of diseases. Gradually increase your daily intake to 25-35 grams for best results.

10 minute cardio boot camp workout
10 minute lower body boot camp workout'
Challenge exercises.

I didn't walk again today, woke up too late after staying up until after 2AM watching the Yankees loose on MLB.TV

I'm sorry. I imagine it reminds you of when the Cardinals beat NY year before last.

Thanks for the information. They say you even burn calories in your sleep. Although I'm not sure it counts.

My post for the day

Sunday, April 05, 2009

I walked 2.6 miles in 53 minutes this morning. It was warm but I kept on walking.
I did boot camp day 3 video dumb bell workout, a lower body workout, extra dumb bell workout, crunches, a couple minutes of jumprope, 10 minutes of a challenge exercise and 5 minutes on the treadmill. PHEW, that felt good!

The Yankees won again yesterday! 4 home runs in the game! Woo Hoo! The regular season starts on Monday! YAY YAY YAY, it's been a looooooong winter.

Tomorrow is another round at the dentist of the deep gum cleaning so it will be broth again for supper.
