Today I spent cleaning, an entire hour of vacuuming alone. I have to use a shop-vac because my regular vacuum cleaner doesn't work well. I have to get down on the floor and push the end of the vacuum over the dirt & stuff so I do it sort of aerobic style, so many pushes with the right arm, so many with the left arm, stand up, squat down and push again. An hour later the chocolate brown carpet was sort of clean. The white cat hair doesn't come up out of the brown carpet very easily. Then back and forth down the hall, up and down stairs.
Later I will dy my walking video too.

This is today's page from my Spark daily desk calendar:
Happy ST. Patrick's Day! Research shows that moderate drinking can prevent certain diseases, but binge drinking is never a good idea. If you do imbibe, limit it to 1 drink daily for women and 2 drinks daily for men.
I WISH I could have a REAL beer or a REAL margarita or a REAL glass of wine, there is NO alcohol here but DH does make his own beer but it's just not the same.

I did my 2 1/2 mile 53 minute walk this morning and will do my walking video this afternoon.
My internet seems to be back up and normal today.

My husband's co-worker came back from the US the other day with some things for me. I now have a SparkPeople daily desk calendar, a SparkPeople monthly calendar, a Spark People t-shirt that I can wear here when I walk because I bought it 3 sizes too big and some Spark People "business cards" to hand out. Those were freebies. These are GREAT goodies! Woo Hoo! And since I'm an avid cross stitcher, I got a piece of graph paper and tried to chart the Spark People Logo to stitch, LOL. It would make a GREAT LUGGAGE TAG TOO! Hint hint Spark bosses

My internet is not working right today, IE is so very messed up and won't load 1/2 the pages no matter how often I clean out cookies, cache, history, reboot, dump temp internet files, reboot, log out of everything, reboot etc. Firefox works a tad bit better but not much. I won't be able to log a lot of stuff I want to today.

I did do a 52 minute, 2 3/4 mile walk today and I did the walking video. Woo Hoo!

    If you have Yahoo they are working on the site and a lot of people can't get on the site. So if spark mail is in yahoo you may not be able to get in on it. That maybe why you're having trouble.

I love the idea of the luggage tags. Maybe it will catch on.
emoticonwith the walking! You are doing a great job. I am just starting to excercise more now I have lost some weight and mainly concentrate on walking.

No title for today

I did a 45 minute, 2.4 mile walk this morning, it was 80F at 9:30AM. Getting warmer now.
I also did the 2 mile Leslie Sansone walking video.
Still hovering at 141 which is good! I haven't kept up with the 8 cups of water a day though, I just can't get it down right now.

Not much else happenin' right now to blog about.

Is it June yet?

    Does the water taste bad over there and have you tried lemon juice in it to cut the taste?

Today is my 8 month Spark-Aversary & it's Friday the 13th

YAY! Happy Spark-Aversary to me! Sadly in 8 months I've only lost 20 lbs and not the 25 I should have lost, but I did it with the help of my Spark Family so that is important! I learned to like exercise and eat better, I've read very interesting and informative artices and made some great friends here. I hope to be here for awhile.

It's Friday the 13th too. Friday the 13th is my lucky day, I gave birth to my son on a Friday the 13th at 2:55AM way back in November of 1981.

So it's our "Sunday" here, laundry day, clean up day. I didn't get in any exercise yesterday unless you count the 1/2 belly dance/1/2 hopping dance I did last night to music I just can't sit still to. Today is up and down, in and out day with laundry and clean up day. I put my worthless pedometer on to see how worthless it really is.
I may even stitch today!
