Yummy dinner

Since I am here by myself, I make strange things for food. This is a picture of my dinner this evening. Grilled eggplant,tomato, onion and feta "stackers" with a lemon,basil, garlic and olive oil glaze, then there is the watermelon red onion, mint and feta salad with a key lime balsamic dressing. The watermelon salad was amazingly refreshing, I will post thr recipes later

Walk challenge for today

Yesterday I did .50 mile, not much but at least it was something. Today was 1.18 in 30 minutes, took too long to suit me but I'll get better.

I was watching tv while walking and it was so sad. The Showtime or HBO tv series called The Big C, about a lady who has stage 4 melanoma cancer. The episodes I watched today must be the Series finale because she died. I cried because a few scenes reminded me of my dad who passed away only 4 months ago.

Yesterday I made some frozen watermelon yogurt. Cut up watermelon, put it in the blender with 1 tsp sugar, added REAL yogurt (not the sugar hyped so called "yogurt" that is in the USA) and just pureed it up. That all and it was good! I may have to make some more.

Couldn't walk today (SAT)

Power was off from 3AM Saturday morning until 10:45PM Sat evening. It was 110F outside and 80F in the house, I am not allowed to drive in this country so I couldn't go anywhere to a mall to walk and my husband is away on business. I did walk a bit looking for candles and when the power came back on putting things away and cleaning up. Hopefully the power will stay on and I can walk tomorrow.

    Such a backward butt country - are all women not allowed to drive. I couldn't do it Robin my indy is too important i would hate that. I guess i'm much of liberal gal. Hoping things get better and power stays on and you can go for some walks; if not you can do exercises inside and use the conversion chart on the main thread it's is on the very first post!

100 mile challenge

I am doing the Biggest Loser Fall Challenge again and this time we are doing a 100 mile walk challenge. Would YOU like to join me? I can't promise I will walk the 1.4 miles every day but I will make a damn good attempt to!

Week 1 Pre-challenge ITC walk 100 miles will end Week 8

Walk 100 miles(not at one time) during the challenge

Start this one Pre Challenge Week 1 make a plan to Walk 100 miles for the Fall challenge. Leaders set up a thread where your members can log their miles for 10 weeks (ending Week 8) as they complete them . Some may have Fitbit or pedometers that log them and save their numbers for the 10 weeks of the Fall challenge. But many others don't so let make it easy.

I did the math...don't groan...it will be 1.4 miles a day. Do what you can some will have a hard time completing this and others will surpass this numbers. Keep going if you reach 100 miles before the 10 weeks are over. Lets just try it and see how close we can get or how much we can beat it by. You don't have to limit your self to 1.4 miles a day and no problem if you cant walk that far ...just do what you can.

Week 8 total your miles and see how close you came. Remember this one starts pre-challenge week 1. It will be 10 weeks by week 8.

I'm joining the challenge. I have a fitbit and get a weekly report and so far I am only doing 8 miles a week and I do need to do more walking. I have just been lazy. Thanks for the invite.
