I just realized I never shared a picture of my Tattoo I got during Bike Week in Laconia NH. It is in memory of my Daddy. And it passed my mother's approval.

What happened to April, May, June & July? It always seems time goes by so fast when I'm home on vacation but drags on when I go back to Saudi. I'm only home here in the USA for another week then back to hell until the end of May.
My family was here in New Hampshire, we had a fun week of shopping and doing touristy things then we took them back home.
Had my last Dr. appointment today, weight was DOWN!!! I'm so very excited over that. My blood test report was good as well so I can stop a couple of medications. A1C was down a couple of points but not all that great but I will continue to work on that since I can't get sweets and good stuff over in hell.
Had a so so vacation since March, got to see snow, sub-zero temps that I don't normally see, got to watch my Grandson play baseball, got to see a great Friend in Maine (Hi Pat) and see wonderful sights with her and hopefully can do that next summer too. Visited my family a lot, got stuck in a flash flood, buried my daddy. Trying to hold back the tears still, hurts to say good bye to my family and home but it's still cheaper and easier than trying to run two full households year round.
Gotta get my car inspected and registered so it will be ready for me in May.
So that's my notes for now.

Today is my with SparkPeople. What have I done in 5 years?
Through reading the articles, I have learned the right things to eat in the right proportions, I quit drinking soda, I started eating more green veggies, I've eaten things that I never thought I would and they actually taste good.
I've learned exercise CAN be fun, I like how tired I feel after a good workout, I actually like sweat. I learned you don't really need all kinds of exercise equipment, you can use your imagination
I found out I'm not the only one that has failed and succeeded, and failed and got back up again and I will not fail.
I've made lots of great friends, I've cried with Spark friends over losses great and small, I've laughed at stories and jokes, I've learned their tips and tricks for things, I've met some wonderful Spark Friends at our New Hampshire Spark rallies, I've lost friends who are no longer Spark members.
I've shared my stories and my life both here in my home country of the USA and overseas from Saudi Arabia.
I've really HATED some of the changes SparkPeople has made to the site and still hate the changes and liked some others.
Spark People has helped me figure out what I was doing wrong and helped me do things right. I may not follow through to the T, but SparkPeople worked for me. I haven't been as faithful and lost all the weight I need to lose but I'm working on it, I may not be around as much as I used to but I still find time to check in and say hello.
Life is going to get a whole lot busier in the next 6 weeks, some good, some not so good or fun but I'll make the best of it.

My Dad has been gone for a month but it still hurts, this Father's Day will be horrible for me, all the commercials on tv are bothering me.
I went to Maine for a few days to visit my wonderful Spark friend Pat (NorasPat/Pat in Maine) We had a wonderful time chatting, sparking together, walking and playing tourist. We visited the Central Maine Botanical Gardens which are simply beautiful and that particular (damp, rainy, chilly) day, they were so serene and peaceful. I hope to get back there one of these days.
Today my Dr. appt. went well, bp was down where it should be, she was satisfied with my progress, showed her my large bald spots in my hair and she said it could be a fungal thing, I need to see a dermatologist, the one at the clinic comes twice a MONTH-his schedule is full until September. Googled dermatologists in the area, not one within 60 miles-oh well, guess I'll just have to go bald. Other than that, I had to take 2 pills because I pulled a tick off my leg last week and the area is still red. I don't have to go back until next year.
Next Dr. appointment is Thursday, every female's favorite Dr.
So that is where I am right now, eating better and getting to the gym. I do a few exercises while watching tv in the evenings with the weights and resistance bands.

I kept seeing ads for the Spark solution on almost every page of SparkPeople so I read closer about it. I checked the local bookstore and found the book, entered my information in the page, got my SparkPoints for it and checked out the Sp;ark team. I am a week behind everyone else and really haven't started the whole program yet, it will be a couple days for me to get it together but you can find more information here:
