Day 13

Thursday, October 18, 2012

It was a good day! Thursday is our weekend, like Saturday in the real world to we usually do errands. Today we stopped at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee, went to an old "everything" type store and picked up a couple things, made a couple other stops so I could get some cross stitch threads then came home. I got on the treadmill for 15 minutes and did some dumbbell exercises.

Our boy kitty rolled in something that stunk so he had to get a bath. He doesn't really like baths but he "tolerates" them, yowling the whole time but he really stunk. He curled up under his cocoon blanket and when he gets out, his fur will poof out and he will look like he is having a bad hair day.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping day so I need DH to decide what he wants to eat next week.

Day 11 & 12

Wednesday, October 17, 2012

I fell asleep last night before I could post my blog but I did manage to get in 15 minutes on the treadmill, which is better than 0!

Today I did 31 minutes on the treadmill.
Today is our Friday, the last day of the work week. It's also the start of my DH's 2 week vacation from work. It's the muslim holiday when BILLIONS and Billions of religious people from all over the world converge on Saudi Arabia to perform their muslim religious rites, the Hajj or Pilgrimage. About 1/3 of them come with no intention of leaving so they live illegally here. DH said we're going to try and clean up some of the clutter around and do a deep clean. That will set the cats off in a panic mode, LOL.

Tomorrow is the weigh in for my Biggest Loser challenge so I hope I have lost at least a pound.

Let us hope tomorrow it is a loss for you. DH and i just watched a amovie and at the last few seconds the doorbell rang, I had to open the door and excuse myself to watch the final scene. Happily my friend did not mind and she will put in on her netflix list. We had afternoon tea but i have not been baking scones so i had to put out nuts and Craisins along with some huge medgool dates. I ate some too so that might just have to be dinner around here. I usually have scones in the freezer but let the freezer empty so I could de-frost it. HUGS Pat in Maine.

I am wondering what you will be eating next week!

I hope you have lost at least a pound too. My scale says I did but I prefer to see it that way again next week since this has been along plateau.
I hope you are able to get lots of things done during the vacation time it must be difficult to do any travelling with so many pilgrims in the country, HUGS Pat in Maine.

HUGS, enjoy the days with hubby again. Pat emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Day 10-wow

Monday, October 15, 2012

Today is good, I don't know what I did or ate but I feel good today, lots of energy. I've only done 10 minutes on the treadmill so far but I plan on doing more later. I used my barbell weights today too, up and down stairs several times compared to once a week, cleaned and straightened up, put up several of my Halloween cross stitch pieces around the house.

I fixed Chicken and dumplings from a Richard Simmons recipe, that is a favourite of ours with Strawberry and spinach salad. Chave enough chicken left over for dinner tomorrow.

Day 9

Sunday, October 14, 2012

Well sadly my Yankees lost on Saturday and Derek Jeter fractured his ankle and is out for the season, at least he will be well rested for Spring training. The game is on as I write this and it is 11:27PM so I don't think I will stay up much longer, I am really trying to get to bed earlier so I can get back on track.

I was a slug today, I only got 10 minutes on the treadmill and that was about 1/2 hour ago emoticon

220 days until I am back home in the USA but it's too early to count.

I've always heard that it's how you play the game, not whether you win or lose. I don't follow sports. I went to all my children's games and enjoyed them but all the hullabaloo over all the teams and the exorbitant salaries they earn really turn me off. I know lots of people love to watch and get together. I am sorry to hear your Yankees lost. There's always another game, another day.

The days will go by fast and you will be back in the States before you know it. Use your time wisely. emoticon

Come on you must be a bit more enthusiastic, you can do it. Try not to beat your situation up, you have been there a lot of years and I hope you can allow yourself to be happy with your crosstitch and happy with your healthier journey.
Sorry your Yankees lost whatever it was, I am not in to Sports.
Keep blogging we are here for you any time at all.
I like to think of you the way I met you, Happy and chatty, way to go please?
I will be looking out for a nice note from you and then we can really be in touch.

Day 8

Saturday, October 13, 2012

Woo Hoo, the Yankees beat Baltimore and moved up to the American League Championship Series, game 1 is Saturday evening but it won't come on until 3AM my time and I'm just getting over jet lag so I don't think I will get up to watch.

I got on the treadmill again today and did 31 minutes and 1.3 miles at a pace of 2.8MPH. I did up the speed to 3.3 for a little bit and a jog but had to slow down. No strength training today-BAD BAD me, but I will get that done on Sunday.

I really wish I knew what was going on with the water deal, it went off at the same time again this morning and was off for 3 hours. I don't know if the compound is doing that for water saving but it's a pain in the ass!
