Day 9

Sunday, October 14, 2012

Well sadly my Yankees lost on Saturday and Derek Jeter fractured his ankle and is out for the season, at least he will be well rested for Spring training. The game is on as I write this and it is 11:27PM so I don't think I will stay up much longer, I am really trying to get to bed earlier so I can get back on track.

I was a slug today, I only got 10 minutes on the treadmill and that was about 1/2 hour ago emoticon

220 days until I am back home in the USA but it's too early to count.

I've always heard that it's how you play the game, not whether you win or lose. I don't follow sports. I went to all my children's games and enjoyed them but all the hullabaloo over all the teams and the exorbitant salaries they earn really turn me off. I know lots of people love to watch and get together. I am sorry to hear your Yankees lost. There's always another game, another day.

The days will go by fast and you will be back in the States before you know it. Use your time wisely. emoticon

Come on you must be a bit more enthusiastic, you can do it. Try not to beat your situation up, you have been there a lot of years and I hope you can allow yourself to be happy with your crosstitch and happy with your healthier journey.
Sorry your Yankees lost whatever it was, I am not in to Sports.
Keep blogging we are here for you any time at all.
I like to think of you the way I met you, Happy and chatty, way to go please?

Day 8

Saturday, October 13, 2012

Woo Hoo, the Yankees beat Baltimore and moved up to the American League Championship Series, game 1 is Saturday evening but it won't come on until 3AM my time and I'm just getting over jet lag so I don't think I will get up to watch.

I got on the treadmill again today and did 31 minutes and 1.3 miles at a pace of 2.8MPH. I did up the speed to 3.3 for a little bit and a jog but had to slow down. No strength training today-BAD BAD me, but I will get that done on Sunday.

I really wish I knew what was going on with the water deal, it went off at the same time again this morning and was off for 3 hours. I don't know if the compound is doing that for water saving but it's a pain in the ass!

Day 7

Friday, October 12, 2012

Not much today, it's our Sunday. We did go grocery shopping early this morning before the crazies got out. Got home and had no running water, it's like they shut off the water every day at the same time for a couple hours and today was laundry day. I did manage to get all 4 loads of laundry done thought. Also got some cleaning done, other than that, nothing exciting.

Saturday is back to the treadmill and dumbbells!

Why do they turn the water off everyday. Sounds crazy to me.

Enjoy your day, whichever one it is.

Our Weekends are Thursday and Friday so Thursday and Friday here are like Saturday and Sunday in the real world. Friday here is the holy day when they have a Friday sermon in the mosques so we call it Sunday.
Our work week is Saturday-Wednesday. It gets confusing when I am home in the real world.

I amconfused with this one it says it is friday and you say it is Saturday but that is your sunday.
Are you messing with my head.
I am trying to use the touch pad but boy it is harder to do than the mouse.
Both are connected but the touch pad keeps moving even when the computer moves. I wish i could do a better job.
We are still hoping to go to NY for my birthday tomorrow but now it might b e snowing, It sure is cold here right now. We finally broke down and put the heat on.
I talked to Cheryl today she is getting more requests for her art work now, she is illustrating children's books. I am so happy for her. I think they have had sprinkles of snow. HUGS Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Day 6

Thursday, October 11, 2012

This is my weekend, so today is like Saturday, the day my DH and I go out and do errand shopping. Stores here are only open till around 12:15 then everything, I mean EVERYTHING closes for the muslim prayer time and most things don't open back up until 4 or 5PM. We went to Ikea today, we have a huge Ikea here that has breakfast in the mornings. It was MOBBED this morning and it was like a riot when the place opened, pushing and shoving, running up the stairs to get a table and a place in line. The locals are CRAZY people!
Anyway, we walked through Ikea, up stairs then downstairs 2 or 3 times then walking the floor at a moderate pace. Then we went to the grocery store where because it was close to prayer time I walked at a faster pace to get things done. that is all the exercise I did today.
Tomorrow is early morning grocery shopping before the stores get crowded.

I went to an Ikea store many years ago and bought a basket that I still have. We don't have one in our area as this is a small town. We have a Sears, KMart and Walmart for major shopping plus the Outlet Stores just off the freeway.

It sounds like a sale day at Macy's.

I have never been in an ikea store. Are there any in our neck of the woods. I think we can shop online so I will give it a google.

We were both adjusted today this has been a medical week. HUGS Enjoy your time together, HUGS Pat inMaine.

Day 5

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Sadly friends I doubt there will be exercise today. I got into sorting my cross stitch "stash" instead. Cross stitch is my passion and once I get into playing with my stash, that's it for the day, it helps keep my sanity, it relaxes me, it helps pass the time and it keeps me busy.
So I'm off to create another piece of art.

Sometimes relaxing with things you love to do is every bit as important as grabbing that work out.
