This is embarrassing to admit especially after being on SparkPeople for almost 4 years but after an almost 10 month slump I am finally on a 9 day streak of a minimum of 10 minutes of exercise a day. I just couldn't get any ambition up at all for a long time but now I am back on track and it feels good. A minimum of 10 minutes a day on the treadmill along with at least 15 minutes of strength training, I usually end up with 45 minutes a day of some combination.
Now the strange part is the music I listen to, not your average fast paced, fist pumping, heart stopping cardio music or thump bump hip hop but Spa music or Yoga music. Yes I'll admit I have SiriusXM radio that I listen to on my iPod to exercise to but I really like the new Spa channel and the Yoga channel. I find it relaxing and really easy to walk to and easy to pump the weights to.
Another thing I'll admit to is 1-walking on my treadmill barefoot, I KNOW, I KNOW, it's probably dangerous but it feels better than sneekers - aka "workout shoes", another thing is when the Spa music or Yoga music is on, I hang on lightly to the hand rails and close my eyes and just meditate or think about my upcoming vacation BACK HOME IN 31 DAYS and before I know it, I've done a 1/4 mile lap usually in 10 minutes. Yes I knoa again, probably dangerous but that is what gets me going and done. And I know you all are probably snickering and rolling your eyes about how slow I am but when you go from almost 0 exercise to every day,. I have to work up to my speed. To each his/her own.

    Good for you starting again. I've been on 4 years and am starting to lose my motivation. I still take my one hour walk everyday though.

    I've been here for about five years and yesterday I finally figured out the Nutrition Tracker and can now log in what I actually eat instead of choosing foods that are close.

Don't feel bad for what you did in the past, but go forward!

    NOW THE EXERCISZE BEFORE I STARTED HERE NEVER DID ANY NOW YOU CAN'T STOP ME FOR ME I HAVE FOUND RIGHT AFTER BREAKFAST IS BEST THEN IT IS DONE NO EXCUSES AND I HAVE NEVER MISSED A DAY.
BUT I HAVE LOST MY WAY ON HEALTHY EATING AFTER I LOST 30 POUND I GAINED IT ALL BACK PLUS 3 POUNDS AND CAN'T SEAM TO GET MY MIND SET THE WAY IT WAS WHEN I FIRST STARTE SO MANY YEARS AGO.I WILL NOT GIVE UP. WE WILL DO THIS ONE DAY AND ONE STEP AT A TIME WE ARE WORTH I.
