I've got 1 ticket to Paradise

I've got a ticket to ride because I'm leavin' on a jet plane in 55 days and it will be 5 o'clock somewhere when I arrive in JFK and have a beer for breakfast.

I'm now on a 5 day exercise streak which is excellent for me after a 3 month funk. I need to speed it up a bit though and get back to my normal hour work out instead of 35 minutes but at least I'm off the couch!

The nutritional facts on a box should just tell you the amount of exercise needed to burn off what you're about to eat. I saw that on a friend's facebook status yesterday and thought it was funny. BEFORE EVERYONE JUMPS UP AND DOWN AND GETS PISSED OFF AND GOES INTO A LONG TIRADE ABOUT THIS, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY, NOT SERIOUS.

58 more days until a Dunkin' Donuts Turbo Boost! Woo Hoo!
59 more days until I get to go to the gym again! (And my gym buddy Holly)

I gotta get my blood glucose numbers down, they are through the roof again! So no matter how I feel, I will get up and do at least 20 minutes of Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds

    Personally, i think it would be hysterical! I have seen articles like that - tell you how many jumping jacks it takes to burn so many calories - makes you think! Or, we could just rename the food
Snickers = "the 2 hours on the treadmill bar"
Big Mac = "2 days of jumping rope everywhere you need to go" meal deal
Creme Brulee = "Bike to Japan and Back dessert"

    It's a neat idea. I've done some blog posts and the level of activity and intensity it would take to burn off a restaurant meal. It does put things into perspective.

I find it sad that at 5K races they have donuts, pizza and other junk waiting for the finishers. The thing is, I've heard people say that since they ran a 5K, they can eat whatever they want today. That donut or slice of pizza was about all they burned running that race. I bet if they knew that, they'd think twice before consuming that impulse snack.

    That would certainly shorten time at the grocery story, reading those labels. How ever it would leave time to excerise longer...
Like, walk a mile to reach your car..LOL To me the important part is reading those labels. It lets me know the HAVES and HAVE NOTS for the week. emoticon

62 Days

62 Days until I'm in New Hampshire!
My daughter made my dr. appointments for me, at least the Diabetes Dr. and my Gyn appt. Living in a rural tourist town has disadvantages and trying to get a dr. appointment is one of them. The Dr.s are only in their offices 2 1/2 days a week

3 days in a row for my exercising now too. I am walking back and forth in the house and doing step ups on the stairs. Every little bit helps.

64 days to a BEER OR MARGARITA OR MOJITO
64 days to REAL BACON and PIG MEAT
65 days until I drive MY CAR in public

This weeks Biggest Loser team challenge

I am on the Pink team for the Biggest Loser Spring Challenge. Each week we have a Inter Team Challenge and this weeks is easy. - Drink at least 6 - 8 ounce glasses of water every day

BONUS - Now, if you're drinking your water as you should be, you are visiting the "restroom" fairly often. Before you leave the bathroom, perform at least one exercise before opening that door! You'll get lots of exercise minutes completed in an unexpected location, and have fun while doing it!

examples - You can do one set/10 reps of standing push ups against the wall, door or sink. Keep some weights or heavy cans in the bathroom for the week and do one set/10 reps of tricep kick backs. The demos for these and many more suggestions can be found at this link:

Today I did 1 set of 12 squats, 1 set of dumbbell rows, 1 set of 12 dumbbell single arm tricept extentions, 1 set of 12 sink pushups. Now I won't be doing these exercises at my 3, 4, & 5 am bathroom calls but this is neat and I may just make myself some sticky notes and leave them on the door in the bathroom.
