Time to re-set your articles

Saturday, April 02, 2011

A new month means it's time to re-set my SparkPeople articles and Health Conditions articles. I have no more articles to read in the Wellness or Motivation section and I'm LONG out of articles to read int he Health A-Z list. The articles will only re-set if you have been a member for at least 6 months and will only re-set articles you've read over 6 months ago.
To re-set articles, go to MY TRACKERS (top left corner of the orange bar at the top of any Sparkpage.
Click on Account/E-mail preferences
Scroll down the page where it says Reset SparkPoints
click on Reset Articles, Reset Quizzes and Re-set Health A-Z.
Now you are all set for the next few months!

Finally, Opening day of Baseball season, I feel so much better! Way to win the first game, way to go Mo!!

For those of you who know me and know where I am and know sometimes things get lost in translation here. We saw a sign today while driving around town. Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Clinic. I took a picture of it and posted it on my facebook page but I won't post it here, some people get offended at the drop of a hat.

It's late, better get off and get to bed.

I've got 1 ticket to Paradise

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

I've got a ticket to ride because I'm leavin' on a jet plane in 55 days and it will be 5 o'clock somewhere when I arrive in JFK and have a beer for breakfast.

I'm now on a 5 day exercise streak which is excellent for me after a 3 month funk. I need to speed it up a bit though and get back to my normal hour work out instead of 35 minutes but at least I'm off the couch!

The nutritional facts on a box...................

Saturday, March 26, 2011

The nutritional facts on a box should just tell you the amount of exercise needed to burn off what you're about to eat. I saw that on a friend's facebook status yesterday and thought it was funny. BEFORE EVERYONE JUMPS UP AND DOWN AND GETS PISSED OFF AND GOES INTO A LONG TIRADE ABOUT THIS, IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY, NOT SERIOUS.

58 more days until a Dunkin' Donuts Turbo Boost! Woo Hoo!
59 more days until I get to go to the gym again! (And my gym buddy Holly)

I gotta get my blood glucose numbers down, they are through the roof again! So no matter how I feel, I will get up and do at least 20 minutes of Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds

Personally, i think it would be hysterical! I have seen articles like that - tell you how many jumping jacks it takes to burn so many calories - makes you think! Or, we could just rename the food
Snickers = "the 2 hours on the treadmill bar"
Big Mac = "2 days of jumping rope everywhere you need to go" meal deal
Creme Brulee = "Bike to Japan and Back dessert"

haha that would be funny - I say that kinda thing all the time - I'll have to run 3 miles for eating that today! lol and yeah the count down ticks one more day off! hoping times flies!

Actually, it's not a bad idea. I just can't imagine the food manufacturer's being thrilled by the idea though. emoticon

What, they don't have Turbo Boost there? Is it against Sharia?

It's a neat idea. I've done some blog posts and the level of activity and intensity it would take to burn off a restaurant meal. It does put things into perspective.

I find it sad that at 5K races they have donuts, pizza and other junk waiting for the finishers. The thing is, I've heard people say that since they ran a 5K, they can eat whatever they want today. That donut or slice of pizza was about all they burned running that race. I bet if they knew that, they'd think twice before consuming that impulse snack.

That would certainly shorten time at the grocery story, reading those labels. How ever it would leave time to excerise longer...
Like, walk a mile to reach your car..LOL To me the important part is reading those labels. It lets me know the HAVES and HAVE NOTS for the week. emoticon

Haha, love it! The same strategy as thinking, "It will take me 3 hours of work to pay for this new purse."

Aaaand... you can do it! We'll be checking back later to see if you worked out. :)
