... so I ask you, what is the nutritional values for a green worm?

Thursday, May 13, 2010

As I was getting my breakfast of fruit, yogurt & cottage cheese this morning, I thought I saw a tiny green worm in one of my fresh blackberries.

... so I ask you, what is the nutritional value of a green worm?

emoticon emoticon emoticon

No, I found it when I was washing them and I didn't eat it, lol, but I thought I would blog it!

(It would not have hurt me had I missed it. We gross out but it is protein.)

That little green worm was probably full of blackberries anyhow . . . and there is no such thing as ONE little green worm, I'm sorry to say (just one that you SAW!!).

Good job that there's some 'wriggle room' to allow for variation within your calorie range.

Depends on how many of those fresh blackberries he'd eaten BEFORE you found him, LOL

Not sure about the nutritional value of the worm but I'm sure there's some protein in there somewhere. :)

Probably less than 1 calorie, and some protein, vitamins a, b2, and c... that is if it is edible, and you actually want to eat it!

Hmmm!! green worm - protein, chlorophyl, minerals, probably iron, doubt there are carbs, but probably a bit of fat - wonder if that's good or bad fat but in that amount it might be irrelavant!!.
Could be good if cooked on a BBQ, the protein would be more digestible - but also as far as flavour and texture, the flavour would be increased and the outside become crunchy while the inside stays soft!!
Really quite Yummy!!

It would give you a little extra protein.

I watched a commercial just now and Valerie Bertinelli looked heavier! Maybe it was an older commercial, but she was practically hiding behind the dressing-room door!

I love SparkPeople! I have learned how to Spark myself thin!

Yes, it took 16 months - but in that 16 months I have learned how to work foods into my daily meal plans - I don't have to give up anything unless it turns out to be a trigger food for me.

My trigger foods are not going to be the same as your trigger foods. We are all unique and we must all learn what we can eat and what we need to avoid.

But my DH's family reunion is next month and when people ask me what I weigh now, it is 5 lbs less than last year!

emoticon emoticon emoticon

**edit:
@LOPEYP, I don't know why but people think it is ok to ask me my weight. No one has ever offered to tell me their weight though, lol.

I "googled" Valerie Bertinelli and according to her blog, she is maintaining her weight loss! Might have been an older commercial - whatever, it didn't look too flattering.

Danskin Now Spring!

Wednesday, May 05, 2010

For all you wanting to try the Sketchers Shape-Ups but not having $100 extra this month, Walmarts is carrying the new "Danskin Now Spring" shoe
www.walmart.com/ip/Danskin-Now-Women
-s-Spring-Sneakers/12544728

I purchased a pair yesterday and have been walking around my house and even did a 1 Mile Walk Away The Pounds wearing them.

I like them! $25 is a lot cheaper way to try the shoes - you can still buy the more expensive pair if you want, but this way you get a cheaper way to try the "style" out.

**edit 5/6: I usually wear an 8-1/2 Wide but I am very comfortable in a regular (normal) size 8 of these. Nice!

**edit 5/7: I have been unable to obtain a 2nd pair so far! Even online I am unable to access Walmarts "checkout"! The shoes are selling out fast!

Yay! I purchased 2 pair online and they will ship them to me for $1.94!

I love the Sketchers shoes. I have an all black pair that's just about had it, but I'm gonna wear them into the ground.

For anyone skeptical of them - they do more than just 'tone,' like they brag. My posture is better than it's been in ten years, and I blame the shoes. They force you to strike a balance between your two feet, instead of your normal resting position. So you end up working both legs evenly.
