I know that our needs are all different so I am posting this here for all to see.

My goals may not be the same as your goals! This is OK! There is nothing wrong with going for your own goals.

In keeping with my goals for 2010, I have decided to join the Spark Your Body Bootcamp Challenge and Contest Spark Team

because I really need to get serious about Strength Training. I need to make time for some serious muscle making! I also need to get over the weight thing - 120 feels great, but muscles will feel even better!

    Ones you get going with strength training, you won't be able to stop! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticonI have become almost an addict, and always look forward to strength training days. emoticon emoticonI even add a few extra not shown in the spark page. It sure get's me sweating like crazy! emoticonI just love it! emoticonThe ten pounds weights sure came in handy, but I still use the 5 pounds for the lateral raises. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Aargh! Up 2 lbs!

No, not really - just weight fluctuations.

But it did make me reevaluate my calories in vs. calories out. Until the rains stop I am at a loss for walking unless I climb on the treadmill. *sigh* So today I said, "get on tubby!"

I did 3 miles and I feel fabulous! Not fast miles, mind you, just 2.5 miles per hour, but I did it in 2 increments; 30 min and 50 min! I am going to try to get on again tonight and see if I can manage at least another 20 for an even 100. 100 minutes is half what I was doing regularly so I would be satisfied.

A body gets used to the extra calories in.

    Oh for sure......tubby! That's the last thing I'd think anyone would call you. Kudos for taking to the treadmill. It's a great substitute for walking outdoors.

    It's been really cold here, so I've been doing WATP. I got started on them because of what you had written about them. Now I've gotten my husband doing them too. They are an easy way for me to get moving when I don't feel like it.

    Good for you. I won't walk outside when it is cold so it is either the mall or Leslie. And right now unless you go to the mall early it gets crowded (understatement). So I stick with Leslie.

  You can say that again - I mean about the body getting used to the extra calories in. I've been sick and have not been eating as much - only 2 meals a day instead of the 4 smaller meals. It made a difference, but now I am hoping that when I go back on my regular routine, things won't be more difficult. Maybe not. Have to hold good thoughts always. I have lost a couple of the lbs. I gained back from Thanksgiving.

My exercise has fallen off a good bit while being sick, but I did managed a few mins. today on my bike. Not enough to really record, but I will record it nonetheless. Some better than none - right.

Today LIVINGTHIN's daily status asked that we read her first blog entitled Gratitude. It included a link to watch a short 'movie' called "Learning to Dance in the Rain".

I find this appropriate with the weather changes we are all experiencing lately.

I still don't want to dance in the rain, but it is a reminder to be thankful for the weather, whether we like it or not.

Without the snows, areas suffer droughts. The cold kills off many viruses and pests. Without the rains, nothing would grow and we would all perish.

I titled this blog, Through the eyes of a child, because it reminds me of how the innocent child views the changing weather. And I can remember "balancing" as I walked the curbs of life.

Yay! The weather outside was sunny, I was in the mood for walking - - -

we did 7.25 miles!! Whoopee!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am hoping to do more before the day ends!

Tomorrow is back to nasty again emoticon

**Today is the tomorrow that I talked about yesterday emoticon
34* when I awoke, 30 now! But yesterday I managed another 2 walks for a grand total of 12.5 miles walked! (7.25 + 3.25 + 2) WooHoo!!

    Great walk!!! Sometimes I finish my 3 mile (5k) walk and think... I would love to do that again ~ alas it is usually getting dark by then, someone needs to be picked up or fed.... but someday i will chalk up the mileage! Too much snow today!!! (first one of the year, so I shouldn't complain).
