Ok, I am so proud of me!

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

I had to take my dad to his IDC Luncheon (he has an internal defibrillator/pacemaker unit) and I thought about bringing my own from home but eventually we all must eat out.

So, today was a Box Lunch from Heavenly Ham and I ate only half the sandwich and gave away my cookie and potato chips. I just came home to check the nutrition online and since I didn't use the Mayo or much of the special mustard the sandwich was only 485 calories! I was allowed to eat the other half! What a wonderful day!

And for the first time ever, I walked 4.5 miles this morning! Now I can keep up with my fast-stepping sister for the evening walk!

Love you goonies forever,
Linda

    Hi Linda!

Way to Go! It must be so exciting to make an effort to do a good job and stick to your calories only to find out that you exceeded what you thought you accomplished!

    Way to go!!!!

My husband and I just went to the YMCA and after our workout we stopped at Coldstone Creamery. (I know, I know. :-)

He got a "Love it!" sized rocky road and I got this new yogurt they have that's only 25 calories an ounce. Got some berries on top. The whole thing was only 150 calories. I was so excited!

(I did have ONE spoon of his rocky road, though.)

Another successful week!

Monday, August 18, 2008

I am supposed to blog! I had blogged but deleted the wrong one and lost my blog, A Matter of Perspective!

I had to change my profile because it was looking so pretty and slim - from the front! So, now I have one from the side. Eew! Reality check in progress!!

I had a pretty good week last week. Hit 175 and of course bounced back up to 176 but I also have increased my morning walk from 3 miles to 4 miles now! And am walking twice a day too! So I am averaging about 7 miles daily and feeling super-charged.

I even bought Walk Away the Pounds, thanks Huggers, and have used it twice! I love it!!

I really do love Calling All Goonies and need to thank the leader and co-leaders for their tremendous support and total commitment to the cause.

I will lose this weight and will never be fat again!

I love you guys,
Linda

OMG! I am the weight on my Driver's License!

This is another SparkPeople epiphany! I was walking on the walking trail and just letting my mind wander when I thought about how you must now have a drivers license to operate a golf cart on it. That led to this year my drivers license is up for renewal, and that of my DH.

Well, when I realized that I am actually within .2 pounds of being the weight that is listed on my drivers license I knew this would be a blog subject!

Another mile-marker accomplished!

I want to be overweight!

Saturday, August 09, 2008

I want to be overweight, and in another 13 pounds I will be! I will be saying goodbye to obese for good at 163 pounds according to my height of 5'2".

It's a mile-mark for me and I am just so thankful it is almost within my reach! Another 2-3 months and I should be there.

I hope that many of you will be soon joining me as overweight instead of obese.

I realized yesterday that my too-small pants (4 pair, 2 new) are now getting too baggy! Oh what a travesty that is! I just barely got back into them at 188 and now at 176 it is almost time to move them on to baggy-pants heaven. I tried on a pair of spandex that I never could wear and they fit!

I would say I am having a fantastic day today! My virtual model is me at 165 and "just fat".

Hi, Linda. Love your attitude. I too can't wait to be just "overweight" and no more obese! I can't even weigh myself because I have a cast on my left foot, from toes to knee! I think I'm doing well overall, but you are definitely making good progress. Keep up the good work, and we'll both be obese no more! Katie emoticon

Hey - thanks for the visit - figured I'd return the favor!
Overweight is great!! LOL We are the same height, you know, and I jumped for joy when I became overweight! Even now, to get to healthy BMI, we' d have to get to 136...maybe someday! But I'm in no rush!

Here's to being overweight! CHEERS!!

That is a real eyeopener!! I never looked at it that way. So for me---I could be 'overweight' in about 17 pounds and that's really not much.I will take heart in that realization. I wish you all the luck in the world to your goal. Ginny x

Nowhere To Go But Down

Monday, August 04, 2008

I weigh every day at home, I have a Weight Watchers scale that is totally awesome. This time for me is different - my moods are no longer decided by the scale. I have nowhere to go but down.

But every time I get to 178.+ I wind up back at 179 and then 180. I have decided that tomorrow I will break it again and this time hold onto it.

If not maybe the next day, lol. As I say, I have nowhere to go but down.

I have been exercising a lot and I really think it is muscle. I just started with a pedometer last week and have been doing the 10,000 steps daily! What a rush! Plus all the leg and arm exercises because they are my trouble spots.

Since joining and using Spark's Nutrition Tracker I have a great record of staying on track so it will all move eventually.

Just wanted to post it because I like the phrase, nowhere to go but down. I chose the virtual image of 130 lbs because I no longer think anything is impossible since finding SparkPeople.

Linda

You are definitely going down :) I know that you are building muscle. I have intensified my workouts and I am gaining muscle and the pounds have gone up slightly but I know that my fat percentage is decreasing daily WOOHOO

You can do this and I know that 130 is very doable. I am so looking forward to seeing you at your goal.
