Let's burn off this weight together!!

Wednesday, February 04, 2009

I am having a fabulous day already! I managed 15 minutes on the treadmill before the leg just hurt too much! And I did upper-arm exercises through much of the walking!! Then I got off and did another 22 minutes of stepping in place which put me into a good start for the day! Hooray me!!

I have done a 3 Mile WATP the last 3 days and that always feels great! I am just thrilled that the WATP isn't hurting my leg!

I missed an opportunity to walk yesterday so 30 lashes with a wet noodle on me! DH is going into hospital to have his 20 year knee replacement replaced again! While I waited for his pre-admission assessment (2 hours) I should have walked the hospital instead of surfing the web. *sigh*

Onward and upward. Lets burn off these pounds!!

No lashing with a wet noodle. You are doing fantastic so a few minutes in the grand scheme of life doesn't matter too terribly much.
Keep on rocking girlfriend.

    Back away from the noodle!

Yesterday's gone and beating yourself up about it only brings down today. Besides, I think any day you have a loved one going into the hospital, you have enough things on your mind that if exercise or eating slips, you have to forgive yourself -- like the rest of us, you're only human. (Hope that doesn't offend you LOL)

You are so close to your goal! Keep up the good efforts.

Also hoping your husband's surgery goes well.

.3 and counting down...

Sunday, February 01, 2009

Today I am .3 away from normal weight!!

I was walking through the grocery the other day and I got this goofy look on my face - ok, goofier than usual.

So my DH says, "now what?!"

I said, "my knees are rubbing!"

As in, instead of my thighs! Talk about a SparkPeople moment!!

emoticon I am so going to make this happen!!

So I ate too many calories last night...

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

So I ate too many calories last night.

Not too many for the day, but too many for dinner. It happens and the scale is the "great equalizer" for me! Back up to 138.4 but that is ok.

I knew when I basically ate 2 dinners last night that I wasn't being bright but I had already logged it in so I also shoveled it in. I had already made my bowl of cereal with peanuts when I realized I hadn't eaten my veggies for the day. So I made myself cabbage, carrots, celery & shrimp which was very filling - but I still ate the cereal after, lol. Just too many calories so late in the day.

It happens. It happens to all of us. I post it as a reminder to myself and to anyone reading this today.

Today is a new day and a new me is going to emerge victorious once again!

Great attitude, Linda. I realize everyone else has these same days, but I sure am hard on myself for it. Too many calories late in the day is exactly what I struggle with all the time with my hubby's schedule. emoticon
Hope you're have a great weekend! Pam

That kind of reminds me of when I haven't consumed all my water. It is NOT a good idea to make up for it in the evening either... lol WAY too many bathroom visits when I should have been sleeping. lol

You're right... I have yet to hear someone say that they have never done that.

Life goes on...

Life does go on and I suppose there is life after computers?!

Not really convinced I could live without my computer though.

Am up if not running today. Now starts the rebuilding process. But at least I am here! And I didn't binge from my problems!! Hallelujah!!

I have gone through this many times myself! SO my hubby backs up our computer once a week now so we don't lose everything... which is great usually EXCEPT the very last time we upgraded, somehow the backup lost some of my files (the file was there, but empty!) I was so upset about some of them, because they were my ramblings otherwise know as my stories... but then I realized that this stuff happens sometimes, and being angry wouldn't make it better (plus hubby felt really really bad, and I didn't want to make him feel worse) so I held my chin up and said, oh well!!! I told hubby that I didn't lose anything TOO important and moved on with my life! Anyhow, I guess I am trying to say I totally understand your frustration, and I hope your computer can be back to 100% soon.

I feel your pain. Mine has been incredibly slow for some time. I believe I have serious memory issues. I just know it will crash b4 long. Probably time to replace it. I keep telling myself I can live without it, but am just kidding myself. I go one day without checking my email & Spark & I'm going thru withdrawal! LOL

It wasn't until I moved to Florida that I even messed with a computer. My penpal got me hooked on them while we were visiting her and her husband when we first got here. We stayed with them for a few days while apartment hunting. Anyway hubby got me one and with her help (penpal) I learned to use one. Three years ago we bought a new computer. Wore the first one out. LOL!
