Made Cutout Cookies

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Well today I made Christmas cutout cookies, and yes I sampled the cookie dough and ate some of the frosting. I thought I wouldn't be able to resist, and I couldn't.
I did watch my calories all morning and I am not over eating at my other meals.
Hopefully I didn't overdue on the tasting and licking the beaters. Only time will tell. At least tomorrow is a new day and I won't be making cookies.

I wasn't able to resist either. But after they were done I put them out of site and have been pretty good since. You have to be able to enjoy the holidays and can't do that if you deprive yourself.

I am making all my Christmas cookies smaller than usual. I am making sure I get at least the amount of cookies the recipe says I should get. I put them in the feezer as soon as possible.

Did Okay on Thanksgiving Day

Saturday, November 28, 2009

I am proud of myself for being good on Thanksgiving Day. The problem I have now is to keep it up. Sometimes when I am able to stay on course on special times, I get so excited that I blow it on the days after. Yesterday was okay too, but today is a lot harder. I feel like I want to eat everything in the house. Just my body trying to sabotage my efforts.
Here's hoping I can keep in control.

Working on getting my garden ready for winter

Monday, November 09, 2009

Boy is this nice and warm for November. I was outside working on my flower garden and yard today. What a treat to have it so warm, I didn't have to come in to warm up. I could work for 2 hours before getting too sore. That will surely help me reach my exercise goal this week.
This might help since the last 2 day weren't the best eating wise. I didn't go over my calories a lot, but I didn't stay within my limits. So far today is okay.
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather.

After Oct. this weather is fabulous. I've been out raking and bagging leaves that I couldn't do in Oct. Hope it lasts a while. emoticon emoticon

Two Weeks Stuck, but now have hope.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Its been 2 weeks since I lost any weight. I had been staying in my limits most of the time and I was excising the right amount or more, but I was staying the same weight. I was getting a little disappointed and discouraged.
Yeah!
Today I lost 1 pound. Not much of a lost but enough to give me back hope. I feel so much better.
I know that eating better is more important than losing weight, but losing feels soooooo much better, then staying the same or gaining weight.

You are doing the right thing. Most of the time staying the course is really difficult when you don't feel like you are making any progress. I frequently sit at the same weight for 1-2 weeks at a time but eventually lose something. I figure slow and steady is the best way to lose and keep it off. emoticon emoticon

Going out tonight with family to a steak place, hope I don't blow it.

Saturday, October 03, 2009

I am having mix emotions. I am glad to be going out, but I don't want to gain any weight.
I hope I can keep things in control. I know not to overeat but it will be hard. My brothers are not good influences.

Linda, if the place you are going to has a website go there and decide what you want to eat now and it will be easier to stick to it. They probably have an 8 oz steak a baked potato even sour cream wouldn't kill you. If they have a salad bar beware of what you are taking. Try to go with the fat free dressing and go lightly! Try to stay away from the butter. Use the sour cream on your potato. Try not to have the dessert. But if you do you do! It can be fit into your plan. I think you will do just fine!

Good luck with tonight and just laugh when your brothers start kidding you.
