One day at a time

Tuesday, November 04, 2008

emoticonHi everyone this is my first blog ever and I'm a little hesitant about writing it. First I was so excited to see that there was someplace online to go to get encouragement to help people to lose weight. I started out great but then the everyday things i allowed to get in the way. I still stayed on tract I just forgot to take time and go online to touch base with everyone. I lost my mom recently, (Oct 11 2008) and I still haven't allowed myself to grieve. I know she isn't hurting anymore but I miss the heck out of her, she was my best friend. She was proud of me for taking the steps to losing weight. She taught me that no matter what people think be proud of yourself, love yourself, and you know what I do. I take one day at a time and hopefully I will keep on track with losing weight, I haven't met anyone online yet I would like to meet people who are learning how to take better care of themselves as I am trying to do.

I hurt for you, I lost my mom 2 yrs ago and I know your hole. Allow yourself to feel, miss her, cry, cry , cry because if you don't you will never be able to lose weight you have to heal and lose weight from the inside out contrary to most diet programs. I am here for you if you need anything and believe me writing is a tool you should use often. I was very hesitant when I joined and swore I would NEVER blog but check out my site and read a little and you will see I not only write I bare my soul. I will be in touch.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Losing a loved one is never easy. I've always believed that the void you feel when someone dies is a part of you that they took with them, just as they left a part of themselves with you. It sounds like she instilled some sound advise in you and kudos to you for taking it. What a better way to celebrate her life than to take care of your health and push to be the best person you can be - inside and out. She'll be right there with you when you reach your goals. Stay strong and know that we're here for you.
