Exercise today was tough but I made it for an hour!

I have been able to walk/run for five miles for the last four days but today I only made it 3.5 miles. I refuse to quit before 60 minutes so I can get enough cardio to keep my weight loss moving in the right direction.

I have tried several recipes and my kids loved cauliflower served as "mashed potatoes".
It has been nice being away from work. I hope I can keep up cooking once I am back to work. Planning is the key!!! My kids have been so much better about eating what I am cooking. This saves so much money from eating out and we enjoy meals together.

Next week I plan to do extensive menu planning, so when I do go back to school/work, I will be prepared.

WE CAN DO THIS!!! 2014 Will be my year!

    You "only" made it 3.5 miles! That's not a bad thing! Take credit for what you've accomplished. Isn't it nice when the kids eat what you cook?

Today I cooked three meals for my family and all were healthy! It is nice having everyone home for a change. I also exercised. MAYBE this is a new trend! Loving my job sure helps my stress level.

I am still on a journey with a long way to go, but I refuse to give up. At least I did not gain more weight last year. This has been a good year for me. I changed jobs and am now the principal of an elementary school. This has been a long term goal and I absolutely going to work everyday!
My youngest child is a senior and she wants to make sure we are all fit before she leaves for college. I feel like 2014 will be my year!

Well it is Wednesday and I have exercised every day this week! Trying to do hand weights for my arms as well. I have enjoyed connecting to a teacher group and have been encouraged by those who have lost 50-100 pounds! emoticon

I made up my mind that I would use my time off for Spring Break to get back to regular exercise. I finally was able to RUN FOR 1 MILE!! This is a big deal for me. It is more of a mental challenge. My goal is to find a 5K and finally start running in public.
