I'm just off...

Sunday, February 01, 2009

I guess the last week was a bit much for me. I'm just a bit sad and a hair depressed I suppose, I'm being somewhat anti-social about going to social events. Granted with Carnival money was a factor as well. And of course insomnia.

I'm completely not going to the Super Bowl party I was planning to attend, 29 people attending and right now I just don't feel like dealing with that many people. C'est le vie I suppose. It's even Sunday evening and there isn't a lot for me to go out and entertain myself with. Perhaps I'll do some extra exercise later, that remains to be seen yet.

Sorry you're feeling a bit off! I guess it happens even to the best of us...hope tomorrow you're feeling better! Good idea about doing some exercise and getting those endorphins flowing!

Passing of my great-aunt

Sunday, January 25, 2009

My great-aunt whom I was quite close to passed away this morning/late last evening. I'm headed home to be with my mom as she is the closest thing my great-aunt had to a daughter. My great-aunt Bertie was my mom's mother's sister, the two sisters married brothers so sort of strengthened the closeness I've felt with her over the years.

I'll be gone for a few days and my challenges will likely be skewed since I'll be gone. Take care everyone and I'll be back in a few days.

Horseback Riding

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

So today I went horseback riding for the first time in 5 years or so, and I have not ridden on any sort of regular basis in probably 10-11 years. It was fun but I'm sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow. I decided I would start taking lessons as this was always one part of my life that I had enjoyed immensely.

Bootcamp and 2009 so far

Sunday, January 04, 2009

I decided to start the SP Bootcamp that began today. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with it though my calendar seems much lighter now. I have my hopes up that I'll complete it this time. emoticon

So far this year, I've been good about exercising but not so great about what I'm eating though I haven't had much in the way of sweets so far. Oh today I did have a smallish fruit tart and dim sum though. It was however slow getting food at the dim sum place so ultimately it was a very small meal. It was sort of a special lunch with friends so eating a couple of fried items and a sweet item wasn't too horrible. At least most of what we got was not fried! Also I went to a friend's bday party/bar hop last night and had only one alcoholic drink and some water. Yay! The one thing that's really gotten me is the pot of soup I made, somehow I can never seem to have just one bowl of it!

I hear you on the soup. I am the same way...now I try to make it as low calorie and low sodium as I can, just so I can eat MORE! It never fills me up! Keep up the good work, Limey!

2009

Friday, January 02, 2009

Happy New Year everyone!

Well my New Years's Eve wasn't too bad, though I ate a bit much last night and today. However I had no dessert last night and only one drink! Oh and I walked about 20 blocks or so, so definitely got some exercise in. as well. Too bad I wasn't with people who wanted to go dancing, which is really what I wanted to do. But we did see the fireworks at midnight.

Today I've eaten a bit much, I seem to always do that when I make a pot of soup, I seem to not be able to get enough of it. I did however walk this morning even though my legs were really sore from walking around last night in my slight heels. I also stretched today and did 150 crunches. I really plan on getting back on the horse now!
