Shadow boxing

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Just got finished working out this morning. I really had a good time. Had the music up loud with all my favorite songs (old and new) playing. My son's boxing gloves were sitting on the floor, so I put them on and started shadow boxing. I always watch my husband and son boxing and never thought about what a great workout it could be. My arms are still tingling. Who knows. next time they start boxing I might join in, if I can lift my arms.LOL emoticon

My son turned 11

Friday, June 03, 2011

My son turned 11 years old on thursday the 2nd. My baby is growing up! It seems like it was just yesterday that I would hold him in my arms and he would look up at me with this wide gummy smile and I would be totally loss in his eyes.
I wrote his nickname(peanut) on his card, and he quickly informed me that "he is too old for this". Boy do things change so fast and I don't think I'm ready to let go. I know I am having a mommie moment, but it's mine to have. Anyway, before the night was over he gave me a big hug and told me I can still call him Peanut at home. I Love me "tween" so much and I'll have to deal with him growing and the changes that are about to come. LORD HELP ME! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My oldest is 7. He will be 8 in September. A 2nd grader! I can relate to that. He stood next to me yesterday and he's up to my shoulders!! I told him to stop growing his response "I can't. God wont let me." Thank heavens I have a 2 year old daughter to enjoy those "baby moments" with! It helps with the "letting go". My son tells me he will always be my baby boy. My daughter tells me she's not a baby. she's a big girl.

Walk to Egypt

Friday, May 06, 2011

Today is the day to get things started. Why put off thing when we don't know if we will be around for another day to finish any plans we may have. With that being said I am doing a virtual walk to Cairo Egypt. I started logging my steps since April 1st.
Egypt is the one place I always wanted to go, or should I say the adventure that I alway wanted to take. I want to float down the nile river like the queen I know I am.
Since there is no way for me to make this happen now, it goes on my bucket list, the only thing on that list.
From Philadelphia ,Pa to Cairo Eghyp is 6597.94 miles. Since April 1st I have walked 352,499 steps which is 166.69 miles. I won't be able to spark everyday and post, but I will try to list my steps and any updated a couple times a month. Thanks to all my spark friends for your support and happy walking to everyone.

Cairo is the capital of Egypt. It stretches out along both banks of the nile emoticon

Not Cranky Today

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

This has been a rough couple of weeks emotionally. I have been in such a funky cranky state that I was even sick of myself. I just couldn't figure out what was going on. Yes, I did pray, alot, because I thought that maybe I was going crazy of a moment. I started taking my vitamins again and praying even more, and today I can see over the clouds. I am feeling a little better today and kind of like my old self; Not the crazy lets have big fun self, but the it will get better self, which is a big improvement. Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement. Much Love and Big Hugs to all. Re

It was dark and I could not see, but you came and grabbed my hand and would not let go. The warmth of your touch gave way to a light that started a flame that lead me out. I can see again, I can see the Light.(an expression by Me)

So happy that you are feeling better. There are days when getting out of bed can be a real struggle and other days when you can't wait to see what the day has in store for you.... Let's pray for more of the latter! emoticon

New pt job.

Friday, November 12, 2010

I have been out of work since Feb. of 2009. I took a partime retail job for the holidays just to have some extra money coming in. Let me tell you, it's had just being a worker when you have been the boss for so many years. I didn't want to work nights or sundays, so I didn't want to take a management position. I am trying to make the best of it, for now. I am really working hard, and have been dead tired every night, but I know that I will be home when my son gets off the bus,or able to pick him up from aftercare. I am close to home, no nights, and no sundays, I think the trade off is pretty good, for right now. Praying that I find something else, after the holiday's. emoticon

After health reasons put me in the hospital last March I had to step down from a supervisor to a regular worker to reduce stress. It was hard at first but I am so thankful today that I worked through it. I am truly embracing it now..less stress, better health, & better attitude. Plus I don't bring my work home with me. My prayers are with you in hopes that you find what you seek after the holidays!!
