Dance Your Way To Weight Loss

Toight I begin my class titled above. I am hoping I can keep up with the younger people, or at least have a few my age in the class. I think this will be a great start to get me back in the swing of excercising.

I have had some back spasms that have created a lot of pain for me, but I have been seeing a physical therapist and today I have felt better than in recent weeks. I think excercising will contribute to a positive improvment overall.

I've been wanting to learn how to dance myself and working up the courage to take a class like this...woo HOO to YOU! :-)

    That sounds like great fun! I love to dance and do it in my living room often. My dog tries to bite me and my pre-teen daughter sits on the couch rolling her eyes and muttering about how embarrassing I am. I live in a small town that doesn't offer any such classes, but if it did, I would take my groove thing public. That would teach my daughter!

    That sounds like so much fun. My 80 year old dad and I joined a line dancing class 20 years ago. We stayed in the back and did what we could. It was fun. Just enjoy yourself and move carefully.

    That's awesome! Dancing is the greatest way to burn calories. It is so much fun! I recently started going to Zumba. If you haven't heard of it, it's a dance aerobics class with Latin music and dance moves. It is so awesome! We have women of all ages and shapes in class, it's even starting to attract some men.

    Sounds like great fun, it is important the exercise be fun too! Don't worry about ages, just enjoy yourself and do what you can!

    Having fun while you get in your exercise is a wonderful plan! Don't worry about the age thing - you are all in the class for the same reason. Try looking for someone who is more nervous than you and help them feel less anxious - it helps to focus on the needs of others when we are feeling a bit overwhelmed ourselves. emoticon
