Feast?

I overate at supper last night. At that one meal, I had enough calories for a whole day of food. Do I regret it? Not really. When I finished eating, I was full-just full, not stuffed-and content. It's been a while since I've been both of those. If I ate like this every day or even every week, it would be a major problem. Since this is a rare occurrence, I am not feeling guilty. I am back on track today. While I enjoyed the food yesterday (as well as the feelings that came with it), I really don't want to eat like that on a regular basis. The key phrase in this blog is I am back on track today.

I discovered yesterday that I no longer really like pizza or (are you ready for this?) doughnuts. Amazing. I can eat either of them if that's what's offered, but not if I have a choice. Blows my mind! I've always loved both foods. My tastes seem to be changing. Will be interestiung to see where this leads.

Fish

I ate fish yesterday. That may not sound like a momentous event, but I have not eaten fish for too many years to count. When I smell or taste fish, my gag reflex comes out in a big way. My DH grilled Tilapia about 2 wks ago for his lunch. I tried some and it wasn't bad. He grilled more for supper the other night and I ate 2 fillets. Tilapia doesn't have that fishy smell or taste that triggers my gag reflex. I am justifiably proud of myself and my DH is glad we can start to have Tilapia occasionally. And grilling outside does not get the fishy smell inside.

Doughnut

Ate a doughnut again. They have them in the fellowship hall after church. I eat a small breakfast just so I can have a doughnut. This last doughnut was not soft and fresh, but was a little hard. I don't know if it was that or if I have lost my taste for a doughnut, but it was not good. I was disappointed. I didn't exercise for a few days, just too much going on. Now, I'm back on track. Well, at least for today. I feel better and am eating less, so today is a good day.

Oh no! Not again!

I am back in the boot. Somehow the shoes I had on Tues. irritated my left foot to the point to where I cannot walk without the boot without pain (on a scale fo 1-10, the pain without the boot is 10++) and so, no treadmill. I started losing weight and inches using the treadmill and Tae Bo and now can't do either. One step forward, three steps back. Oh well!
