12 Mile ride to Shop for a Appropriate Dress

Sunday, May 19, 2013

19 plus 12 equals 31 miles in the past couple days plus a additional 30 miles of cardio puts me 61 miles out of Louisville , KY. heading towards Nashville , TN. . Yesterday , I had a variety of options to choose from as far as destinations go to cycle to , Green Livening Convention at Navy Pier or to Lombard for the Lilac Festival both would have been a good ride and interesting sites to see however , I chose a different route as I decide to go shopping for a new outfit for an upcoming Deposition on May 22nd for Leg Lawsuit . This ride took place through my Old Neighborhood prior to Marriage love this cycle shop - due to the air hose ! Used to live here many years ago the apartment with arch window St Bens This next photo is now an Irish Bar but for many years was a German Bar the Gentleman that owned the German Bar was known for his Magic Tricks well , my Grandfather whom went by the name of Two Ton Hank ( big guy !) taught him first Magic trick - My grandfather owned a Speakeasy on Lincoln and Peterson during Prohibition The twisted Spoke A sad reminder to be very careful of vehicles while riding And finally the Dress and Shoes Simple , for the purpose ! This is first time I am wearing regular shoes after my injuries- scary ! The dress a large but bust wise I am 40 C emoticon - to late to change this ! LiL Dressed up Racer emoticon

Tears of a Clown

Monday, May 06, 2013

It just no use of pretending anymore , I am sad and cannot seem to lift my spirit enough to encourage my spark friends lately and I apologize. Sometimes I pray for a dull day. One of my friends referred to me as a energizer bunny - always on the go but , sometimes one needs to slow down and regroup . Since the floods I have been going non - stop taking care of other people that need me ( my Mom ) . There are other issue in my life that rearing their ugly heads right now , that I have no control over but still need to deal with ( lawsuit for the legs , a divorce ???? - that was just recently explained to me - that I am useless !!! ) Which I know I am not useless - it just evil how some people treat other people but what comes around goes around. I will not be blogging about any of these issues in future. One issue, legally I cannot the other while sad is it what it is !!
I have been dealing with a major Toothache this past month , originally was thought to be TMJ when the first sign appeared as a earache - so a week of antibiotics and then Sat. , address this Molar that actually turns out to be an extra Wisdom Teeth - no wonder why I am so smart LOL - This toothache has also prompted me to cancel my next run , Run to Remember 5k that 's Ok there are plenty of races to come - But , I have also been busy Spring Cleaning ( its hard for me to sit still when I have a lot on my mind) my house really needed a good clean as for over two years I was either casted or in Physical Therapy and if you think DH cleaned ( more like cleaned me out) while I down you are mistaken but , that's OK now I can clean and organize what I will be taking with me during the move - most likely within the next year. I have also been planting my garden and my Moms - great workout - So I am down another three pounds ( I am eating with this toothache , soft foods) and few inches too !!! So that's the good news! I just need to get my thoughts together before I can be positive to other people , its just the way I work. Will be better soon - Hugs LiL Sad Racer

It is hard to give happy thoughts when one is suffering and experiancing pain ,either physically or emotionally. I understand under the circumstances.
It still takes a lot of energy to do all the things that you do. You are resiliant and strong. You have faced many difficult challenges throughout your life and dealt with them by facing them head on and with success. I have no doubt that you will do the same during this difficult time. emoticon emoticon

Oh Karen! I am so sorry to hear that you are going through such a rough time! You need to focus on taking care of yourself and those closest to you. Don't worry about us here! You give more of yourself than almost anybody else I know. I hope these times pass quickly, so that you can go back to being your usual vivacious self! It's awesome that you're still losing weight, even when times are tough. Now that is definitely something to celebrate. Enjoy your garden! Not only is it good exercise, but it's also good for the soul.

I'll pray for you that you have the strength to keep going and that you start feeling better soon.     Some times we have to just have those moments where we are completely & utterly deemed or made to feel useless. I say it's in those moments that make us stronger. Don't let anyone take the joy that is in you that the world didn't give & the world CAN NOT take away. There are a LOT of moments I go through but I pull myself up (after while) then see the sun shining like it is today & shout "WOOHOOO!!" I am going to make it no matter what it looks like or what others may tell you. THINK positively & be encouraged cause if you stay on the floor who will you help those others who so despesaretly need you Sweets? Get up & listen to how you make others feel...& cry happy tears..... emoticon emoticon

Spring at Night

Friday, April 26, 2013

Starting to Bloom over here and am I excited. The beds are trimmed in Tree branches that I pruned from the year prior to provide a border. I am total Organic. emoticon
Today I purchased a Environmental Push Lawn Mower emoticon , then had to assemble ! Piece of cake that I didn't have to eat ! So mowed the lawn , weed whacked , edged. Then really became ambitious - I dove into the Garden today just like every thing else I do in my life lately full force like there's no tomorrow. I feel it already ( good pain ) emoticon
I went outside this evening to let Mini and Mr. Belmont finish their last barks at the neighbors before retiring and I was just thrilled to see all that I accomplished today. I like to take pictures of my garden in progress. Mr. Belmont under the Lilac Tree , sniffing the Daffodils and awaiting the bloom of the Bearded Iris - that section has Lily of Valley , Salvia , columbine , clematis , Chinese lanterns and couple of tulip's and assorted other eye candy , this bed blooms all year round.
So no tomatoes , cucumbers, cilantro , pepper , basil's ( few different kind) beets , carrots , cabbage yet as we still could have a frost. I have those plants upstairs occupying the stained glass shop , all of them I seed , in late February. Those will be planted at the end of May. They will be planted in these beds that are under construction - I line my bed with pine clippings from my pine trees and evergreens to provide a mulch - in time will turn brown but most important it wards off weeds - it does !! Mini checking out the Green Onions that I planted today and the preparation of the new bed for Basil ( Greek , red and cinnamon) she is under the plum tree.

I did harvest my Garlic which is now drying on the back porch on a screen . Then planted some ground cover and finally - I reshuffled a couple of wheel barrels of rocks !!! To the back of my Garden which primarily serves has Bird and Butterfly sanctuary planted there is natural plants from the Prairie State such as bunny grass , zebra grass, Black Eyed Susanne , Brown Eyed Susanne , Russian sage, cone flower , lavender, bee balm and many others and then jasmine as the seasons warms these plants help prevent erosion and smell wonderful also fun to watch Birds and see the Monarchs return every year. Oh and I caught a glimpse of ah , the wee people , the fairies that keep this garden growing !! LiL Sore but Happy Racer emoticon Sleep well - will out be all day tomorrow - will take picture not the garden - Downtown Tomorrow with rest the of Million Blackhawks Fans !! Go Hawks !!! !! Hugs Karen

Looks great out there. Good job but you must be sore from all that bending, lifting, mowing weeding and moving! I wish I could see it in person. It would lovely to sit out there in a few months and enjoy a nice glass of iced tea! I am jealous of all that because I am simply not a gardener of any kind. I tend to kill my plants so I don't have any at the moment. I will hopefully get a couple of flowering hanging baskets for the front yard but other than that, I just don't have much time or inclination to plant. Maybe someday. Your yard looks simply lovely though. Hope those muscles recover soon!
Hope you are having a great day downtown!
