ummm, yeah

Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Hello everyone,
Last weekend I ran a 1/2 marathon (at least the distance), figured out that I am an absolute crazy woman (40-50km winds - started with a tail wind, and ended with a head-wind????). But, it got the stresses out for the day. Now I just need to cope. I had a visit with my massage therapist (haven't seen him since last tax season), and he totally noticed the changes, also noticed that I need to relax more:(

Soooooo, I will be doing more running, and less farting around for now - it's all good, and I can make it better (with a little help from my rookie runners...LOL, oh, and my massage therapist).

I also thought about getting a massage with a portion of our tax refund. Man I so need it!! They may have to kick me out of the spa though because I won't want to leave. LOL

Congrats on the marathon also!!

I am soooo sorry

Friday, February 09, 2007

Oh everyone, I am soooo sorry!! I have hit a busy season that is unlike anything that I have experienced before. We are down 5 accounting staff, so there is only 2 people doing about 1500 tax returns, and only me doing about 1000 T4's and T5's....

I will try to get back here (to keep my sanity), but I can't guarantee it:(

No apologies necessary. You take care of you, and I'll promise to take care of me! We'll meet again when you have a spare minute. February will be busy for me too. Hugs, Cassie

And then there was tax season

Friday, February 02, 2007

So, when the first T1 of the year comes in, there is a slight bit of anticipation, but when there are 25 T1's brought in in the last week of January (when I'm supposed to be concentrating on T4's and T5's), I get a slight deer in headlights look. Couple that with the fact that the Norwalk Virus has pretty much wiped out the staff (only 3 accountants and no support staff left), and you get a rather bumpy feel to the ride!!

Thank God I stopped smoking long enough ago that it doesn't affect me any more, or I'ld already be back at it (maybe). Also, thank God I have set my eating and exercise habits, because my bod is in auto pilot, and even in auto pilot I eat well and exercise daily - gotta love Sparks:)

Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Great job on sticking to your plan. We can't say enough about learning healthy habits. I don't envy your next couple of months. Take care of yourself and stay well.

Let's shout it from the roof top:)

Well, I am a CGA student with 1 course and public speaking to go for the CGA requirements to be complete. Yesterday I started the public speaking requirement (hoop to jump through), and I found myself with the unique opportunity to give a speach about me....an icebreaker speach. I talked about what changes I had made since quiting smoking, and spent a whack of time on the resources and support of Sparkpeople...it made me think a lot, and also made me appreciate everyone here a little bit more.

Another sidebar to that is that about half of the people there asked for the website....about 1/2 of that want to join my rookie running team for support and guidance...yippeeeee!!!!

I realized something else about me. I already knew that I had the gift of the gab...give me a topic and I can talk your ear off for eons...so I think that I am going to start approaching local radio stations and asking them to check our the site...challenging them to do a week and let me know the results...

Anyhow, it has been an uplifting week to say the least, and I am EXHAUSTED!!!

G'night everyone,

Trish

And here we gooooo!!!!!

Thursday, January 18, 2007

Ok, so I chatted with my buddy Heather, and now I have a race plan for the year...

1. I am going to run a race with Cass in the Spring if we can find one...

2. I am going to run the Victoria Marathon in October with Heather and whoever else wants to (actually October 7th to be exact). The route is the most scenic marathon route I have ever seen (kinda biased because I lived in Victoria for 7 years).

3. I am going to run the Vegas Marathon in December with my buds from the rookie running team

Let's bring it on!!!!!

And, DON passed his PARE!!!!!!! Holy, what more motivation do we need to try to get to the next level:);)
