I finally did it...

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

For weeks I've sat on the recliner and stared at the treadmill. It has been used to hang clean laundry on for awhile now. Well this evening I finally strapped on my shoes and got on the danged thing and even turned it on. I only made it 10 minutes and my heart rate is up and I'm even a little sweaty... Tomorrow I'm going to get on the darned treadmill for ten more minutes!

You can do it! Just keep adding a little time on every day or two and pretty soon you'll be amazed at how much you can do!

I'm proud of you! Getting going is the biggest part of the battle for me too - once I've been on it for a few minutes its easy to keep going. I love my treadmill!

Keep the streak going!! Good luck to you :)

Start Over...

Monday, August 09, 2010

So it's been a really rough couple of weeks. First my lovely daughter has been gone leaving me to prepare meals for myself... and I have opted to take the easy route and I've definitely overate... so I felt shame and didn't even track what I ate and I haven't stepped on the scale terrified of what it will read. So today, Monday, I'm starting over. From scratch. I am back to tracking ever bite and sip. Back to making better food choices and not eating until I am uncomfortably full. Back to at least 10 minutes of fitness per day. I know I can fit in TEN minutes and I know I can stop myself from eating SO much.

I am back at Day One.

Aren't "Re-dos" great. That is the great thing about SP, you can pick up and start all over again. Set backs are part of the learning process. They help us remember that we are human and that life is a journey not set in stone. Glad you're back!

Don't beat yourself up about this lapse. Keep looking forward. We've all been there. I'm on Day 3 myself of starting over again and I'm hopeful that this time it will stick. Good luck and take one day at a time.
