What to do?

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

I really don't know what to do know. I am at a point were I don't where my life is going. I quit my job because I hated and I thought I would have another job by now. I applied to be a 911 dispatcher thinking it would be an short hiring process. Come to find out it takes about four months to get hired. And after hearing everything you have to go through to get the job, I don't think I will. So now I don't know what I am going to do.

Maybe Not!

I have found out that my insurance will not cover the Lap-band surgery. So I don't know if I want to go through with it. I can not afford to pay for it on my own. I could always fight the company to make them pay for it, but I work for an insurance company so I know how hard that is.

I just changed doctors. I don't feel my current doctor was addressing my needs that well. So I will talk to my new doctor and see what suggestions she has for me.

I'm sorry to hear that your insurance company is being so stubborn about the lap band surgery. I came extremely close to doing it myself, but I couldn't bring myself to take the final steps. I was just scared, and now I'm kinda glad I didn't. I hope it all works out for you. And I hope your new Dr. is better.

Lap-Band Surgery

Friday, June 22, 2007

I have really been thinking about have lap band surgery. My biggest problem now is portion control. It is so hard for me to eat just one serving of something. I am so used to eating until I am stuffed. If I get the lap band surgery I won't be able to overeat. I am thinking about the lap band because they don't cut your stomach like with other weight lose surgeries. And down the line if you needed or wanted to have it removed you could and you still have your full stomach. I am going to check with my doctor and make sure this will be a good option for me. I know this is not going to be a quick fix. I will still have to work out and eat right, but I think this will be a great tool for me to continue to do that to the best of my ability.
