Today's Running Song: "Pocketful of Sunshine" by Natasha Bedingfield

This weekend was very stressful for me, stress of my own making. My stomach is in knots, with the resulting upset. So, for dinner I listed the cookie mix and cookies I ate (at least half of them are still there, I'm sure) and forgot the veggies and pesto (which are definitely not). Bleh.

If I do something wrong, it is so much easier to deal with than when it's another person's mistake and I have to deal with it. I also need to work on not allowing this to set me into a reactionary eat/barf cycle.

Possibly, if there is a silver lining in all of this, it's that I am sensitive to stress and sugar, so stress + sugar = yarf = fewer calories ingested than otherwise. :)

I mean, I could've eaten 12 cookies, I got to 3-4 and felt a bit ill, but by the time 6 rolled around...whee...they were heading out the way they came.

TMI humor, sorry - but sometimes it's the only way to offset some of the icky.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day - new routine! - and the tummy flares will quiet down.

I'd say that you need to find a better way to deal with the stress. I know that sounds easier than done, but with your gastrointestinal issues it might be more helpful. When I'm bored I tend to start with the sugar; it's my drug of choice. During the week I'm really good, but on the weekends not so much. If I want to reach my goals I've got to get my 'boredom' eating under control.

Maybe you should spill out your issues to a close friend? Having a 3rd party that is not invested in the situation can give you a release that won't leave a bad taste in your mouth. emoticon

    I hope you feel better and are able to get rid of your stress! Boy, I wish I could barf up my cookies sometimes - LOL. I've been known to eat a whole box of GS cookies in one sitting. :(

    At least it comes back up for you (O.K. - TMI from me too).
If I overindulge, then it just sits there and makes me miserable. The only plus with that is that it makes me less likely to do it again.

Hope that your week goes well and that you have a less stressful week at work than you did at home this weekend.
