I'm registered for a 5K walk

Woo Hoo, My family and I are registered for a 5K walk on September 27th. We did it last year when I was heavier. I did ok. I skipped one leg of that walk because I could see the finish line if I went left and I should have gone right to make the final loop. I went left. LOL I am looking forward to this year's walk. I feel so much better and I expect to finish it without any trouble. I also hope to have my weight to 165 by then. That is 9 pounds in 6 weeks. I can do it !!!

Update time

Not too much to report today. I still have not gotten my controlled exercise back on track. Yesterday I was gone from home from 7:45am to 11:00pm. I did get some exercise from 7:30 to 9:30 helping MJSB0618 (AKA Monica) move. There was a lot of walking and carrying. My weight is doing great. My lowest weigh in is 174 and I am teetering 1/2 to 1 pound above that this week. I am looking forward to some rest this weekend.

    My dear friend, I hope you logged the packing and moving of boxes. That is such difficult and demanding exercise! And what a dear friend you are to help Monica out! Do something nice for yourself! You deserve some pampering!

    Take a nice warm bubble bath and listen to some relaxing music and then SLEEP this week-end. Honestly, lowering STRESS helps us to avoid over-eating and it is REALLY an important issue for our weight loss. SO, DON'T feel guilty about getting REST.

Slipping on exercise...

Donald and I have bought and started rehab on a house. I have been so tired that I have not been getting my exercise. I have not been doing physical work on the house so I can't say I am getting exercise there. I really need to get my bike ride or my treadmill workouts each day. I need to get my ride or walk in first thing in the mornings before I get too tired. That is my new goal. Today I plan to go for a walk outside. I am ready to move my weight towards the 160s.

It sounds like your body is getting quite a work out with the rehab on the house!

Are you doing 'demo' tearing down walls and stuff?

Don't be too hard on yourself - it's not as if you are sitting on the couch all day eating potato chips. But if it would make you feel better about yourself, I'll be looking for you at about 5:30 AM each day! This is the best time for me to work out and it's so great to just get it out of the way!

You've come a long way, baby! Hang in there!

My goal was to be at 175 this morning. I'm 175.5. I'll take it. Woo Hoo !!! I have failed to get my exercise for the past few days. I'll try to get in a good bike ride today.

Having dental surgery in the morning

I'm going in at 8:00am tomorrow to have a tooth pulled. Since it has had a root canal they have to put me to sleep and surgically romove it because it will probably break up. My food intake will be limited for a few days because it's going to hurt. My exercise will also be limited to how I feel. I plan to take a couple of days to lay around and do nothing. LOL. I still am aiming for 175 by Friday the 8th. I am almost recovered from the PIZZA BINGE.

    When I had my surgery I told the dentist that his office was one of the few places I gave my real weight. I wanted to make sure they gave me enough medication to knock me out. I usually tell him to give me the "big boy" dose. lol
