Prep Schedule - Turbo Fire Week 1

Thursday, September 04, 2014

Really tried hard to get back to this level where I can do Turbo Fire again. Just love this program, but it can be intense. Started with the Prep schedule this week, which I didn't even know was in the book. So far it is very calm with just a few cardio workouts during the week and alot of stretching. I believe this is 9 weeks long and then I plan to begin the program.

Yeah, I knew I would get totally burned out. I do have Chalean Extreme and I really like it. I haven't even finished that whole program either. LOL I really want to do the weight lifting and I can tell that I build muscle pretty quickly. I know muscle weighs a lot more than fat, so I think that's why I gain so fast. That's why I'm going back to cardio to burn this fat off so then I can build up my muscle later.

I will say that the first phase of CE has combo moves and quite a bit of them have lunges or squats. So for that, I would say, maybe you could just do the weight part of it. It also has some cardio workouts with intervals of weights and cardio, but again, I know there are lunges in there. I also like the Slim Series ones from Debbie Siebers - the Sculpt Express or Cardio Express has weights too. Not sure about the squats though. Haven't done those DVDs in awhile.

I like the idea of starting out easy! Some of these Beach Body routines seem to go from 0 to 100 right off the bat, which I think is discouraging! Didn't you mention once that you have Chalean Extreme? If so, is it mostly strength training? I need to get back to my strength training, but I can't do squats because of my knee trouble.

Just another blog

Monday, June 23, 2014

Sometimes I have no idea what to title my blogs- as you can see. LOL I did my official weigh in on Sunday and I lost about a pound! Woohoo! I'm starting up with Turbo Jam and Chalean Extreme. I don't mind these workouts at all, but I get bogged down sometimes and have never finished the full plans they say you should. Let's see if I can do this!

On the Bandwagon again

Monday, June 16, 2014

Ha, my last blog entry was in April and it is now the middle of June. While I have not gained significantly, I have not lost either. But I know with discipline, I can get back to where I was before this break in eating properly and other things. Starting back with walking again, but I would like to get back to my cardio workouts in the house since it's going to be really hot.

I am not looking forward to the heat! It's supposed to be in the 90s for the next several days. Stay cool and drink a lot of water!

Started wearing my pedometer again. It doesn't just count steps. It motivates me to move more.

Two Week Follow Up

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Because I was on a lower dosage of my BP medicine, I went for my follow up. My BP was even lower than it was two weeks ago. 118/70. So now I'm going to start closely monitoring my sodium. I have been half heartedly looking at that prior to today. She said that I can take myself off the meds for two weeks, while taking my BP, if I have been monitoring my sodium, losing more weight, and continuing my exercise, through July. Of course I'll have to let them know! Good plan for me!

Wow, your BP is great! I hope that watching your sodium helps, it would be good to get off the meds. Keep up the good work!
