Day 1! 21-Day Fix

Monday, October 20, 2014

I'm pretty pumped about my 30 day challenge with the 21 Day Fix and meal plan, although I woke up kinda tired today. When I received all the little tupperware things for the various foods, I thought, wow, these are SO small. But this morning I had eggs and the amount of oatmeal I should eat and I almost couldn't eat it all! Plus I am going to try to eat every 2 hours. I am thinking at first I shouldn't have a problem with feeling full, but then as I workout every day and my body gets used to it, I may get the hunger pangs. I've already told my husband to not let me eat anything off my plan!

Slight Detour Ahead

Friday, October 10, 2014

It's not really a bad thing . My plan is to eventually finish Turbo Fire- that's my ultimate goal. Through some random encounters, I will be doing a 30 day challenge, starting on October 20th. This will be with the workout and eating program called 21 Day Fix. I"m really looking forward to joining a group to do this. So until then and after I'm finished, I'm going to do Turbo Fire.

Milestone #1 Complete

Thursday, October 09, 2014

I just wanted to express my congrats to my Aunt who finished her last chemo today for breast cancer. Now the next milestone will be surgery, which we don't have a date for yet. So for now we celebrate this milestone and then move forward!

Week 2 of Turbo Fire

Tuesday, October 07, 2014

I have completed one full week of TF and I'm on to the next week today. I tried making my own granola and butternut squash pancakes this past weekend. Pretty good! Monday I started tracking my food and calories again so I can monitor everything. I still feel like I'm starving most of the time. My weigh in days are on Sunday and I have lost 2.5 pounds since I started eating differently and doing TF. I'm not counting on that much loss each week, but I'd take a pound!

You're doing great! Make sure you do eat enough though... But I'm sure with tracking your food you'll be able to see if you do okay ;-) Keep it up!

Week 1, Day 4 and Clean Eating

Thursday, October 02, 2014

So I'm chugging along here with Turbo Fire. Got through the first two days, with a break today and then a workout tonight. The original plan has only a one day break, but I have found that I do better with two breaks. I usually break on Wed and Fri because Wed is halfway through the week and Friday is just too hard to work out. Sometimes I use Friday as a makeup day if I end up with a headache or another work out day.

I've been reading about Clean Eating, which is what a coach on another program I use, was recommending. I went ahead and purchased the Clean Eating Diet and Cookbook and got it in the mail yesterday. I was looking through it and got pretty excited about it. Most of the recipes are really simple and some require you to purchase some products that I probably wouldn't use normally, but once I purchased them, I would have them for a bit. I got really excited about making my own granola, even though it sounds like it will take several hours! I also saw a great hummus recipe and I eat hummus like it's going out of style! The other great thing about this cookbook is that it will tell you a season that it is good for, so if there are ingredients that are cheaper during the summer months, or fall months, then it will note that. I thought that was a neat idea! I hate trying to shop for stuff and it's either double the price because it's off-season, or you can't find it. I think my husband is on board with it and I'm just ready to get started!

Sounds interesting, the cookbook. Especially the seasonal tips.
And good that you're doing the turbo fire at your own pace. Don't go crazy all at once. Keep it up!
