That was insightful!! Thanks!! I don't have a Nintendo DS though my grand daughter wants one. But I did have a Game Boy that I gave to her. But what I play is the old Super Nintendo. I have three of the game systems but one isn't working right. I was addicted to it not long ago. LOL

Taxes

Sunday, January 31, 2010

Ugh! emoticonI finally finished them emoticonI hate doing our taxes. It gets so frustrating seeing what you pay in. But I do get a huge sense of accomplishment when I get them done. Now to mail them in and get our little check back.

Just in time to get a new oven emoticonOurs has been acting up for some time now. 2 burners work at half heat, and the oven has to be turned up at least 25 extra degrees to actually cook. I teased my DH today and told him that the food I was cooking would probably bake faster with either a hair dryer or an easy bake oven emoticon

The new oven should be here Feb 10th emoticon

I'm impressed, I still have to get all of our information together for the accountant. Since DH is a minister, the IRS considers him self employed, so we have to itemize like crazy. Hopefully we won't have to pay in this year!
Enjoy that oven, I know you are eggshells waiting for it!

It was a new vehicle we needed & I guess it is good our old one made that necessary in Oct. That way we got to deduct the sales tax from our income on our taxes this year. I always am glad to get the taxes figured & that overfor another year too.

Hope you have a great week!

Having Mom Over For Dinner...funny for the day

HAVING MOM OVER FOR DINNER

You don't even have to be a mother to enjoy this
one...

Brian invited his mother over for dinner. During the
course of the

meal, Brian's mother couldn't help but notice how
beautiful Brian's college
roommate, Jennifer, was. Brian's Mom had long been
suspicious of the
platonic relationship between Brian and Jennifer, and this
had only made her

more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the
two interact, she
started to wonder if there was more between Brian and
Jennifer than met the
eye..

Reading his mom's thoughts, Brian volunteered,
'I know what you must
be thinking, but I assure you Jennifer and I are just
roommates.'

About a week later, Jennifer came to Brian saying,
'Ever since your
mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the
beautiful silver gravy

ladle. You don't suppose she took it, do you?'

Brian said, 'Well, I doubt it, but I'll send
her an e-mail just to
be sure. So he sat down and wrote:

________________________________________
__________________

Dear Mom,
I'm not saying that you 'did' take the
gravy ladle from the house,
I'm not saying that you 'did not' take the
gravy ladle. But the fact remains
that one has been missing ever since you were here for
dinner.

Love, Brian
__________________________________________
________________

Several days later, Brian received an email back
from his mother
that read:
__________________________________________
__________

Dear Son,

I'm not saying that you 'do' sleep with
Jennifer, I'm not saying
that you 'do not' sleep with Jennifer. But the fact
remains that if Jennifer
is
sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the
gravy ladle by now.

Love, Mom
LESSON OF THE DAY - NEVER LIE TO YOUR MOTHER

Spark e-mails

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

emoticonI'm so excited. I stopped getting Spark e-mails shortly after I joined last year and now I've finally started getting them again. I'm so excited. I love the e-mails, it's so much easier than maneuvering the site. They send valuable info right to your e-mail address so I don't have to search. I'm loving it.

Beautiful trees as a result of the fog

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Today was so pretty outside. We had fog and as a result the moisture froze on the trees making them such a treat to look at.

I think God has an incredible eye for beauty. He also has a great sense of humor. The two times that I almost died and saw His face, there is no way on earth that it can be described. But stupid doctors brought me back. Now I have a DNR order. Next time I see Him, I plan to stay.

How beautiful. Right now we have gray clouds/fog in our are too, just no snow. It has been raining off and on for two days in a row. Yuck! It is supposed to be this way all week too. We don't have the pretty snow views though just bare trees and brown grass. LOL! Well the grass should be getting greener with all this rain.
It's your choice, make it the best one.
