I was thinking on the drive home from church about food of course and the journey I've begun.
I noticed this am when I put on a dress I wore sometime last year it was too big... NICE..
I changed to something that would stay on (smile)
Another thing that came to mind was, I am not at my ideal weight however I noticed as I sat in church that I "felt" lighter. My steps felt lighter,my body felt lighter everything felt "easier." Pantyhose weren't rubbing. Everything was good. Dress was roomy,Sleeves comfy, pantyhose "exceptional"... I then thought of the wonderful smoked ribs and chicken my husband had on the smoker at home. HMMM how many ribs could I eat and still remain within my calorie range for the day?? Must check when I get home.
I checked. I can have TWO ribs... Just two...and 3oz of chicken...So I pondered that, a little disappointed I might add. I love my husbands smoked baby back ribs..so this is my Super Bowl Strategy. I have consumed my steamed broccoli and huge glass of decaf tea then I proceeded with the smoked skinless/boneless chicken breast 3oz.. GUESS WHAT??? I got full... Life is good. I am in control and in charge of this situation. While the house permeates with the wonderful smell of hickory and meat. I am still interested in eating as many ribs as are on that platter in there but I will wait until after church tonight and eat the TWO wonderful smelly and tender(according to my hubby) ribs. Another thing I have learned during my journey is I "Savour" my treats as I call them. Why didn't I appreciate the way they REALLY tasted before my journey began? But I will enjoy the two and be thankful I can. Have a Blessed day and enjoy the Super Bowl...
