I have read the first six chapters of The Spark and understand the power of writing down goals. My focus for this journey is to be healthy for a long time and to watch my granddaughter, who is due in April, grow into a young woman. In order to accomplish that, I need to get my diabetes in control, maintain a healthy weight, and continue to exercise.
To break this down into small steps, I will lose a pound a week, on average for the next four weeks. I will go to the gym 5 days a week. I will eat at least two servings of vegetables a day for the next week.
When I accomplish these goals, I will reward myself by giving myself a day with my other daughter. I will also give myself a sparkgoodie each week for accomplishment for the week of staying on the path.
