A picture

Sunday, March 16, 2014

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I see pictures of things that I want, things that I need.
I need a healthy body and a organized mind. My house is a shambles and this is a picture that I see everyday It seems to be one step forward and two steps back. I read the articles and the blogs of my fellow sparkers and they are doing it. The stress that I am under does not seem to want to lift and that does not make it any easier. I feel like if no don't get on the right track soon I never will

Choose one goal at a time. And believe in yourself. Only you can do the work and make the choices to get where you want to be! I agree with Golfgma to put a picture up and tell yourself that you are worth every effort and all the hard work it takes to lose weight and get healthy! Best of luck!

Put a picture of yourself on your refrigerator and under it write "Believe in myself" and then in huge letters write "I Can Do This" . Put this picture of a slim, trim and smiling you in your mind! emoticon

Pep talk

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

I started the Sparkcoach program this week and today's challenge is to give myself a pep talk.
So here it goes. I am a wonderful person who can do anything I set my mind to. Today I will continue my 5k training (it makes me feel happy when I have finished another day ) I will start my strength training so that I can have a strong healthy body that walks tall and proud. I will eat some fruit and veggies today as a way of showing my body and mind that I love it.

So i have been with Sparkpeople for about 3.5 years now and I am still no further that I was when I started. I remember when I started I was excited and committed. I would track all my activities and what I ate. I remember getting the gears from my husband and oldest boy about always being on the computer. I remember the commitment lagging because I got tired of always hearing how I was on the computer. I want to go back to being committed and excited. How do you go from being depressed and hum drum to excited? I guess one day at a time. I started tracking my food again today I have being trying very hard this week to track what I eat. I just purchased Total Body Sculpting and 28 day boot camp and want to get started on those.

It's been a long time since I last post a blog or even wrote to myself. I still peep from the sidelines and watch what others are doing. I enjoy reading about there successes and am sorry to read about there heartaches. My New Year's revolution (my five year old can not say resolutions) was to improve me. I still after all these years reading about weight loss on SparkPeople and other sources and knowing what to do I feel lost. I guess knowing and applying are 2 different things.

I need a plan so lets start with something easy:
EXERCISE---- Kinect daily (I have lots of games MOVE your body HAVE FUN)
NUTRITION-- FRUITS, VEGGIES, HEALTHY meals ( plan to try new things)
WATER--- I know you don't like it, but DRINK it anyway

Streaks Exercise--2 days
Water---2 days
Nutrition---0 days

I will come back later and update this post.

Divorce vs Murder

Sunday, July 22, 2012

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said" I'd like to buy some cyanide."
The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?"
The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."
The pharmacist's eyes got big and he explained, "Lord have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband, that's against the law! I'd lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! you CAN NOT have cyanide!"
The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.
the pharmacist looked at the picture and said, "You didn't say you had a prescription.."

Hilarious but I'd pick divorce. To waste my life on someone like that would tell me I so disrespect myself.
