Sunday's Workout

Sunday, July 27, 2008

I accomplished my set out goals for today...60 minutes of cardio plus strength training. I started on the treadmill 24 minute mile at 5% (5 mins), 20 min mile at 5% (12 mins), 18 min mile at 5% (3 mins), 20 min mile at 5% (5 mins)...then, I went to the elliptical and did a 30 minute interval workout at level 2. I finished on the treadmll for 10 mins (20 min mile at 5%).

I also did 3 sets of 15 stairs and plan on going for a walk after dinner (the biggest loser challenge of the day)

When I got home I did Coach Nicole's 15 minute ab workout (as much as I could, which is more than yesterday), and 2 sets of 15 of quite a few arm exercises.

I feel SO good!

My Exercise Additions

Saturday, July 26, 2008

So I've been doing the biggest loser 100, the 10 day challenge challenge, crunches and some extra strength training things since Thursday and I really feel great. Cardio is not a problem for me, but the rest is. I like the idea that I've made a plan for next week and I will stick to it.

Congrats on your weekend challenge and putting a plan into place for this week. I'm like you in that I don't mind cardio- could walk all day, but the strength training wears me out! emoticon

You're the opposite of me. I love weight training but hate cardio. Having a plan is always a good thing. Keep up the good work.

Exercise Goals for Next Week

Thursday, July 24, 2008

So, one of my Sparkbuddies suggested I get more specific and map out my plan a little more, so here goes.

I'm going to try going to some group fitness classes at the gym-I've heard bodysculpting is great, so I'm going. I've taken my agenda and planned in time to go to the class.

My schedule for next week:

Sunday: 60 mins cardio, core exercises, at home s.t. focusing on arms (15 minutes worth)
Monday: Bodysculpting at 10am...see how that goes, core exercises
Tuesday: 60 mins cardio, core exercises, at home s.t. focusing on legs (15 minutes worth)
Wednesday: 40 mins cardio, Bodyscultping (if I like it), core exercises
Thursday: 60 mins cardio, core exercises, at home s.t. focusing on arms (15 minutes worth)
Friday: 45 mins cardio, core exercises, at home s.t. focusing on legs (15 minutes)
Saturday: 60 mins cardio, core exercises, at home s.t. focusing on arms

Here's my Idea of S.T. exercises, but I'm sure this will change :)
Core exercises: 3 sets (12-15) of crunches and reverse crunches daily + one extra from Spark

P.S. Just did the strength exercises that Spark told me to do today and I feel the burn...I want to keep that up! I'd much rather lose 3-5% of muscle than 35%!

Goals are a great idea. Don't get discouraged if you don't meet all your dates. 10 pounds/month is a BIG loss and not easy to obtain.

I wish you success!
