Met my goal for steps for the week. Yay! But, still gained weight. Boo! And this upcoming week is going to be extremely busy. So, if I can hit my goal for steps I'll be doing good. Not going to worry about anything else for the week.

This was a "failed week" physically. I did not exercise, track water calories. Just too busy. But the activities I was involved with were educational, emotionally supportive and inspirational. So, my week was not a total "fail", as I am more than my body.
Also, I recently applied for life insurance and got the best rating possible-so they think I'm doing ok:-)
Guess I just need to start this week fresh with the same goals as last week and see what happens.

Finally, some success. The scale hasn't moved, but I was able to get in an average of 6,000 steps per day last week, or 42,000 for the week. So, this coming week I'm going to shoot for 43,000 for the week.
The week before last was just to hectic to track, plan or blog as I was away. This coming week looks busy too. But hoping I can stay focused on the 43,000 steps.
And, I'm going to try to focus on drinking water. This time, instead of having a goal, I think I'll just try tracking my water intake for the week. With this information I'll decide next week where to go in this are.

I have a few minutes for an update. I did lose some weight this week, but I'm wondering if my scale has a problem as I lost quite a bit according to it. I'll see what next week brings.
Did ok in hitting my 6,000 steps this week. But, I've discovered some days it's just impossible to hit my goal as I'm in non-stop meetings/activities from 4:30am to 9:00pm. So, I think I'll try to hit an average of 6,000 steps per day, over the course of a week. I can make up for busy days on days that I'm not so busy.
The same is true for getting my 6 glasses of water in per day. On days when I'm on the road it's a pain to try to get all that water in as I continually have to stop to find a bathroom. Again, if I can average 6 glasses per day per week, I think that might be doable.
So, here's to learning, and to a more successful week next week!

So, I didn't reach all my goals last week. I had an unusually busy week, but that should be no excuse. I need to adjust my goals to fit where I am right now I guess:
I met my 6,000 step goal all week, until Thursday and Friday. I'm going to stick with this goal until I can reach it consistently. If anyone is reading this blog, I get a lot of fitness awards, but I'm really not doing anything special. I wear a fitbit all day. It tracks all my movement and then I download that info to spark to keep track of my steps. That seems to add up to a lot of awards, though I'm not that active.
I can't seem to hit the 8 glasses of water goal, so I'm going to back that down to 6. That should be attainable this week. We'll see what happens.
I can do pretty good starting out the day tracking my food, but as the day gets away from me I tend to slack off. So, I've decided not to make this a goal at this time. I'll keep tracking, but I'm not going to beat myself up if I'm not consistent.
And, the disappointing news is I stepped on the scale after being away from it this summer and have gained 5 pounds. it is what it is and all I can do is continue to try to make healthy choices.
Saying that, I'm off to mow the lawn with my push lawn mower!
