Jump Rope for Heart

My son is raising money for Jump Rope for Heart! Donations will go to the American Heart Association for kids with heart diseases. He has a goal set for donations and is hoping to exceed it. I've said it over and over again. That I am going to get back on track yet I keep falling off the wagon and not caring. No more of that! I have updated my spark page and am starting to track my calories again. Small steps. I have a workout plan for the week starting small to get back into the swing of things and get used to working out again. I have lost a lot of weight but still feel "bigger." The biggest problem I am having is my baby pouch on my stomach from having kids. Drives me crazy because I can't seem to tone it, but that's okay. I'm going to try my best and do what I can. :) I'm so happy to be back on Spark!

    One thing a friend posted was to think as failure as part of the process. Not you started then stopped and now have to start all over again. You don't! You're just picking up where you left off and continuing onward!

The pooch may be here to stay. You can always try to go for very low body fat to make it smaller, but that's really really tough.

    Focus on one thing to start with and then the next week add another. Eventually you will stick to it, especially if you go week by week. Even if you goof up at one meal you can always pick yourself back up at the next one.

Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I've written a blog. I have barely been on here other than to do the spinning wheel. I feel so guilty. I have resulted back to junk food and not working out again :/ I was walking a lot but I got bored of it so I have to find some more workouts to do from home. My weight ranges anywhere from 119 to 125 (right now on the higher side). I have been super bloated because of all the junk which is making me more depressed. Other than that things are going well. How are things going with everyone? Hope everyone is having success! I need to get back on track so badly. Any motivation appreciated :) Thanks!

    Glad to see you back you are still doing a great job and have kept off a lot of weight. Don't get to down on yourself! Try to get back active start by doing things you enjoy doing. It will help with the depression and the motivation.

    Is it affecting your kids? That's what helps me stay on track or stop bad habits and bingeing..... I do NOT want my kids to develop the bad habits I have had for decades. My daughter is already going through a chubby phase and I know part of that was me letting them have "treats" every day this summer. We are trying to get back on track as a family with healthy eating and daily activity. :)

I would see if you can incorporate more time into the trackers? Maybe that will help you stay away from the junk food & will help you work out more often! New goals seem to help!

    Welcome back :) I wouldn't be too worried if I were you about your weight (125 isn't bad at all!) and you look good in that pic. Just realizing that you need to cut back on the junk is a good first step.

If walking s boring, try mixing in jogging with the walks. Or try jump roping or hula hooping.

    You look wonderful! I hope that you can find what motivates you. I like to search motivation on google and get all the pics I can on it. Then every Saturday, or Sunday this week, I write an accountability blog and put those in it too. Hope that helps!

Been so busy

I've been so busy lately that I haven't been on here much. Mostly just to spin the wheel haha. Things here are going well. School ends soon for my son so I'll have both kids this summer. I'm sure they are gonna drive me batty. I have been eating junk and not walking.. just been lazy and not motivated but I just weighed myself cuz I didnt have scale batteries before and I lost weight ???? I think it's my metabolism but how am I supposed to know what exactly I need to lose? It's confusing. Anyways, how is everyone else doing? How is your weight loss journey going? Miss everyone!

I have not lost or gained, but my blood pressure sure is better since I started my 5Ks.

Quick Update 4/30/2013

I haven't been on here as much as I would like. I was sick for over a month. I just recently went to the doctor and they said I have a virus, bronchitis, and a bacterial infection so taking meds for that. Feeling better so going to get back on track. I am still walking daily to pick my son up from school since it's been nicer. I plan on adding zumba for abs to my workout each day as well. My goals are to tighten my stomach area and a new goal weight of 115 by July 1st.... I've been having a really hard time losing anymore.

I had a sundress on because it was hot out and I was only in the house but my son decided to take some pictures... My stomach usually is more bloated than this pic so it was nice to see it not lol.
