No more monthly Dr appts for me! This scared chick has sprouted wings & is soaring high!

The doctors are thrilled with my progress & said keep doing what your doing. I've got this. They did one more blood test just to ensure the adjustment they made with my Thyroid was effective. Last time they lowered my Thyroid I spent the night in the ICU. This time we did it slower and it's fine.

My thinking has shifted. Instead of looking at food that I can and cannot have, I look at it as nothing is off limits. I can take a bite if I choose to. Everything is a choice. For some strange reason that shift in thinking, for me, takes away the deprived/shamed feeling I got before. The nutritional tracker has opened my eyes. I have so much more energy when I eat within my ranges.

The Fitbit & the motivation & inspiration I get from my SP family is priceless! You have taught me so much & I will continue to learn. The mistake I made last time I was here was I met my goal then stopped utilizing my tools. I ended up 10 years later overweight with serious health issues. I've learned from that mistake. I used to be so weak I was worried about how I would get back home if I walked down the street. After several baby steps and the supervision of my doctors, I now range 10 - 12 Fitbit miles 6 days a week with a full time desk job. I completed a 5k & 10k & I'm looking forward to my 1st Color Run in August.

I got my husband a Fitbit for his upcoming 50th birthday! The whole family & friends are getting healthy. It's contagious & I couldn't be happier!

Words cannot express how grateful I am for your support! Thank you! You are amazing! emoticon

Wow! You are certainly giving me inspiration. Thanks so much. I'm still taking my baby steps, but I feel more confident about those, so little by little.......

I think I'll save up for a fitbit! Might even buy one for my DH, but he has a little way to go before he will accept just how much he needs it......

I'm off to my doctor appts. It will be nice when I don't have to go monthly. I've been working on balance & organization in my life. I didn't think it would be this challenging. I'm addicted to exercise to the point it is interfering with my sleep. I'm working on organization so I can schedule a cutoff time for exercise and be at peace with what I accomplished for the day to ensure at least 7 hours of sleep.

It's incredible because I used to come home from work and fall asleep because I was exhausted. Now, I have all this energy. The exercise has done wonders with my stress. But, with all things comes balance.

Have an awesome day SP friends!

Busy day today. Work then off to a dentist appt. I've been averaging 10 -12 Fitbit miles a day including a minimum of 10 flights of stairs. I can now play soccer with my grandkids!

Eating nutritionally there's always room for improvement but it's much better!

Tomorrow I'll head out of state for my drs appt. Wish me luck.

Heading out to the track to get in my stairs & run in the rain. That's one way of staying cooled off.
