I got in my cardio and stayed within my nutritional ranges.

Today has been crazy busy. I started the Spark Solution. The meals are challenging. I wish I had an extra week to prep the food in advance. I can always do this again & again. I'm looking at it as my new lifestyle and looking forward to learning to cook with spices!

I had to improvise with dinner. It was cold whole wheat oatmeal, splenda, & fat fee, lactose free milk. I'm looking forward to the chicken enchiladas!

You'll have to let us know how the book is and if it is working for you. I didn't buy it. It is good to change things up once in awhile. emoticon

I got in 11 miles today & ate within my limits.

Someone took my chihuahua Tidbit. I miss her terribly. She is friendly to everyone. My husband was repairing the fence in the backyard. She managed to get past him. He feels so bad. I hope whoever has her takes good care of her. We contacted the humane society, vets & posted pics.

PS Tidbit is back! What a wonderful Mother's Day! Thank you all!

Oh how wonderful you found her. I know a dog is not a dog...a dog is a beloved member of the family!!!!!!

I'm sure she's pretty tickled to have found you again too!!! :-)

I got in 8 miles.

My dr is concerned about my blood work results. I have to watch for signs of stroke or heart issues. My meds are being adjusted again. It's difficult. My cardiologist said he will make me comfortable and when it starts failing it will go fast. Every day can be our last. It's so important to cherish each moment & not sweat the small stuff. I'm not going to live in fear. I choose to live life to it's fullest.

I myself am on a Beta - Blocker for the rhythm of my heart. It really has helped. I was born with Wolff Parkinson's White Syndrome, but didn't show up until I was 50. When my heart palpitates, it is a pain - but the med regulates it. Best wishes hoping the med regulation will help you...
emoticon I don't know if I agree with the 8 miles - that might be too much for your heart right now???

That just sucks. At least you got in your 8 miles and can still be active. You are so right, there is no time to waste. You are such a vibrant woman! Continue sharing your gifts-- kind words, motivation and inspiration. You know I'm a fan.

You are in my thoughts and prayers for continued good health.

Isn't there anything the Drs can do to catch it before it damages your heart? Pacemaker or defib? Anything? For someone who is so active, you aeem so healthy yet your news is alarming! Praying for you! emoticon

I stayed within my nutritional range today & got a chance to unwind in the garden with my daughter & granddaughter after work.

Now, I'm off to get my cardio in.

Please keep Alvin in your prayers. He was in the ER last night. He was supposed to go home this Thursday & was eagerly looking forward to getting released from the convelscent home. Now, he may have to wait longer. I'm glad they caught the infection before they sent him home since he lives alone. My mom hasn't gotten much sleep. She's worried. They have been friends for years.

PS I got in 11 miles.

I was exhausted today. Despite all my plans, I came home from work & binged on unhealthy foods then fell asleep in the recliner.

There seems to be a pattern where I get so close to my goal then this happens. I'll call this my free day and get back on track tomorrow.

Oh girlfriend...I hear you. But NEVER give up and one day you will find the key to why that keeps happening and how to stop yourself. (and when you do, you'll be sure to share it with your friends....right?) emoticon

I do the same thing and in my case I call it self-sabotage. In my case, I am afraid to reach my goal because I have been aiming for it for so long. If I reach goal, then what? I hope you fight that if that is what you do also. It is hard to change old habits and even success can be frightening. Be brave. I would love to hear that you make your goal! emoticon
