Almost didn't write my blog today!

I've been addicted to this pastasalad all day today. I think I've had 2-3 servings today! I did start using a measuring cup today though. One cup is sooo not what I thought it was. I could've easily seen myself eating 3 servings thinking it is just one serving, especially depending on the size bowl I would've used.

I did stay within calorie range though. Maybe a little higher than usual.

So I have exciting news today. I lost 3 pounds from last week!!! YAY!!! I was so excited when I saw it this morning. Although I'm pretending it didn't happen. I can't let the success get to my head. I can't cut corners. I have to pretend like I didn't lose weight and just work harder.

I had to sneak in my last fruit and vegetable serving today.

I need to look up what is one serving of something. sometimes I feel like I have had a serving of something but it ends up being 2 servings. Like what is one serving of a vegetable or a fruit? All these answers I will have soon!

I almost didn't blog tonight. I turned off my computer. I told myself I'd do it in the morning. But then I was like no... I've blogged every day for two weeks. I might as well just do it. It doesn't take that long.

And with that... it's almost 3 am and I am planning to go to sleep.

    I've noticed that a serving of fruit seems to change depending on where you read. Last article I saw was that fresh fruit, 1/2 cup, but I've seen another that said a full cup. Don't even get me started trying to figure out small apple vs large apple and all the sizes of bananas!

    WOW! 3 AM and still blogging. Thanks for sharing. Yes, there are days when I tend to eat a lot of something that I am addicted to. I try to do more exercises the next day to compensate for overeating. emoticon

So excited about next week's goals

This is one of my profile pictures, but it is insipiring because I ran a 5k last year with my friend the whole way through. I want to do it again this year and with her again!

I was so excited today about this upcoming week that I already made my goals for this week. I haven't checked my weight yet, but I hope to do it first thing in the morning. I completed all my goals for the last two weeks so I felt good about this upcoming week. I never had the goal of doing 10 miles a week, but I guess I forgot I put that into the sparkpeople website and I noticed I hadn't fulfilled it so today the first chance I got I completed that goal.

All my other weekly goals were complete or are being completed at this very last minute. (Haha procrastinated, yes, but it's getting done nonetheless!)

I got better today with the "eyes are bigger than the stomach rule". I was starving when I came home because I didn't have dinner, but I had a moderate amount instead of pigging out! :)

    Congratulations on completing your goals for the week! That is not a small thing. Each seemingly "small" goal adds up over time to create the "large" changes we are looking for.

Got my exercise in at the last minute

I almost didn't finish my goals (the 10 minutes of exercise was the only one remaining) but I got it in right before I'm going to sleep! I just couldn't wait until tomorrow. 10 minutes is really easy!

Otherwise fruits were a good, reason to lose weight of the day was - "So I follow through on what I started" and I fulfilled a a couple of my weekly goals today.

One thing that i noticed today was that since I hadn't eaten dinner, I got really hungry by the end of the day. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach. I ended up eating a lot of food and I realized it as I was doing it. (Haha I realized what i needed to write about as it was happening.) Although I was still within calorie range today, I could have been at the low end of my calorie range rather than the high end.

Hopefully it was a lesson learned! (To slow down and eat only what I can handle.)

Next week i'm focusing on protion size.

I'm going to keep this short today. Fulfilled all goals today =]. Reason to lose weight of the day - "So I know i'm not getting Type II diabetes or Atherosclerosis". I played my eye toy for my daily exercise and it was intense. My fruits of the day were - banana and strawberries. I had very many veggies because I had subway, but I also had some spinach! I was surprised today though because my daily nutrition report said I was low on fiber even though I had so many fruits and veggies... and I wasn't low by a little but by a lot so I wonder why that happened.

Anyways, today my best friend invited me to play disc golf with her. It's at the park close to home. It was so much fun! It's like a mixture of frisbee and golf. You throw the frisbee into the cage and you have to do it in as little (par) as possible. We weren't even close to the par for most of the course, but we had a lot of fun with it and I stayed active throughout the day. :)

Busy, but managed to fulfill goals

This is motivational, because I want to look good shirtless in a beach/pool setting

Today was a busy day, but I still managed to fulfill my goals. My exercise amount was on the low end, but I got my 10 minutes in somehow. Lol. I think i'm being modest though because I did do a little extra walking around.
Had my 2 veggies - plum and a mix of orange & apple
Had many veggies, even had a veggie burger from morning star for dinner. That was my 2/3 veggie day. My next one will be Friday.
My "reason to lose weight" of the day is "Because I want to get compliments"
