Haven't felt this "on the wagon" in a long time

Tuesday, June 04, 2013

Something clicked last week and suddenly the junk food cravings are in check- I even stayed away from the office popcorn machine today- and I feel like the real "me" again. I've been running less but working out more. This past week I did some P90X workouts, some Turbofire last night and am loving lifting weights again. Worked on my arms 3 x's this week and I already can see and feel a difference. Ate a very healthy lunch outside in the sunshine today, tilapia, green beans and rice, and read my Oxygen magazine.

Have a great week everyone. I'm down 3.8 lbs since last week and will have only good news to report to you next week ;)

Evil Office Popcorn POD's!

Thursday, May 30, 2013

"T" days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) we have Plan on the Day meetings at work- why not daily, I don't know- but it's tradition in the office to pop popcorn for the meetings. 6 cups (and 8 WW pts later) I'm regretting that I let myself cave in, but have you ever sat in an 8 person office with the smell of delicious popcorn caressing your nostrils?! It's hard to resist. Ended up having oatmeal for lunch to combat some of the damage and most likely hitting up spin tonight as it's been raining on and off all day. Ahhhhh Washington weather....makes you want to curl up with some popcorn- DOH!

Popcorn is one of the hardest to resist - and I say that even though I'm a chocoholic!

You're right - popcorn is pretty tough to resist! I console myself that it is at least a whole grain....!

Loved the "candy raisin" comment!! Thoughts on training - just run! You are already very fit and have completed multiple long races so I have no doubt you will do fablous at the marathon. What helped me in training was joining a running group and having someone to be accountable to. I knew that every Saturday morning my running partner was going to be there waiting for me so that is what got me up and going. If I didn't have her to talk to on those early, long, exhausting runs I don't think I would have made it through my first marathon training season. emoticon
