Getting Excited!!

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

My brother in law did come over and help move my furniture. I actually got to sit on my couch and watch some television. However, I fell asleep with my baby on my lap. What a neck ache I woke up this morning?!

I am getting out of work on time tonight. Kaleb, my son, has a speech evaluation at 5 pm. If it does not take too long and Kaleb is feeling better, we are going to the gym to swim. He loves swimming. He sticks his head right in the water. He even jumps in. He showed up some teenagers the last time we went. That's my boy.

I am getting home earlier enough to make dinner. We are going to try pumpkin ravioli with asparagus and grilled chicken. It sounds good to me but we will see later tonight it ifs a hit or miss.

I am still counting down to my trip. It is 16 days until I start heading up there. I am getting my car already to go this weekend. Actually, Friday its the power steering hose and tires on Saturday. Then all the maintenance will be done on the car. Also, all the bills will be paid for this month tomorrow. I have a pile of clothes ready to be bagged for my New York friends. Well, I am going through my winter clothes this weekend. I am hoping on Monday I will have them bagged up.

Since all my furniture is back where it needs to be I will be putting my books back on the shelves. I have to get my camera charged up. I have make sure my home is in tip top shape. I do not want to come home to a dirt house.

I have not lost any weight this week. I guess it is because I lost 8 pounds last week. At least I have not gained anything back. I am 7 pounds where I want to before I leave. I am really close to my goal. I am so excited about shopping, visiting and having fun. I cannot wait.

Tuesday Updates...

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

My flooring is finally in!!! Yeah Me!!! I am hoping my brother-in-law will be able to move my furniture tonight. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

My sister is turning 31 years old today. Awe... I cannot believe it!

I got to talk to my cousin, Jimmy last night. He seems like a nice guy. We are riding up to New York together. So I am leaving on Friday night but I am staying over to his house. He lives in North Carolina. Then we are leaving from there. The good thing about leaving from his house it is only a 10 hour trip. I am going to try to get the car packed the night before. I am getting really excited for my trip. I have 17 days until I am on my way.

I am going to make up a schedule for my trip so I know who wants what day with me. That will be the next thing on my to do list.

To Do List Almost Complete!

Monday, September 17, 2012

It was not a bad weekend.

Kaleb and I went swimming after work on Friday. We did not get to make it to the pool again this weekend. So I am disappointment, however, I did get to complete most of my to do list.

I cleaned my living room and kitchen all out. Those two rooms look naked! I washed all the dishes and wiped down the cabinets. I throw out everything that was chipped, cracked, and missing pieces. Everything looks very organized.

My washer died on Saturday. I went to the laundry mat as well. I separated some of my clothing that does not fit and put it in a bag for my friends. It is really nice to start seeing my space nice and neat. Now I will be able to figure out where I have to start first when I go clothing shopping.

After laundry was finished, I stopped by the grocery store and finished this weeks shopping. This week I did not have to pick up to much because I still have some left in stock.

On Sunday morning, I made Kaleb and myself Mickey Mouse shaped blueberry pancakes, turkey bacon and clementines. Yummy! Kaleb loved it.

The only two things I did not get to do is clean the one bathroom and get my car fixed. I am hoping maybe I will get my car fixed today. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

My flooring is suppose to be installed today. If everything goes well, I will have my house semi back to normal. Then I will clean the other bathroom.

I am still counting down for my trip to New York. My cousin, Jimmy is suppose to be riding with and we are spiting the cost. That rocks. I talked to my best friend last night. She said it was alright for him to stay the night when we get into town!!! Yeah!!!

I have 19 days until I leave!!!

Jealous maybe lonely too

Friday, September 14, 2012

This is such an emotional day. I came into work and the evil envious monster of jealous came poking around the corner. A girl that I know at work is getting a new job. She is younger and has less experience then I have. She is getting a better job that pays more. Top it off she gets benefits after a month.

I have been trying to focus all day. I do not like being jealous. I like my job. I love my hours. My pay is good. I am very excited that I received a promotion in April. I worked hard to be here.

I keep telling myself she is a good worker. I am happier for her.

Why do I feel this way?

Did I mention it is her last day. She is starting her new job on Monday.

I am sad. emoticon

Everyone that I get close to down here moves on. I know that eventually I will too. I have no friends down here. Everyone is just someone I recognized.

This is the first time in my entire life that I do not have a close friend where I life. I have been down here a year and a half. I would not really call the woman leaving a close friend. We eat lunch together.

I miss having a close circle of friends. I like being able to go out to the bar with someone. I miss having friends with kids doing family things together. I miss not being criticised by everyone around me. I cannot really say everyone. Work is good. They love my work. I am doing a fantastic job.

I am trying to get focus. A huge part of me completely miss New York. I miss my friends. Most of my friends have been around since I was 12 years old. They are like family.

I keep telling myself South Carolina is cheaper. I have a good job. I am doing very well for myself.

I am sorry that you are having a tough day! Making friends as an adult is always tough -- especially in a new city. Things will get better -- hang in there!
