It's pretty obvious, from the fact that I haven't posted here in a couple of weeks, that I'm still having difficulty regaining control of my food and exercise.
This past week was the first week, since the beginning of summer, that I haven't had little ones in the house. They were my excuse for not staying on track--I no longer have that excuse, and I'm still not doing well.
I can't let this continue, or I'll be losing ground. Right now I think I'm probably maintaining, for the most part; but I'm afraid to get on the scale...

Wow, I think it's been 3 weeks since I posted here. First there was the trip for the family reunion, then grandkids visiting, then I was sick for several days, then off to help DD for a week....
Thankfully, through all that, I've been able to maintain the weight loss, in spite of being out of control of meal planning and lack of exercise. This, in itself, proves to me that when I do actually reach my goal, I can maintain without obscessing for periods of time.
This week it's back to Curves, back to walking and back to serious meal planning! I'm actually looking forward to the structure.

Good weeks -- bad weeks... They come in pairs! The last week-and-a-half has been difficult. I'm still trying to learn how to deal with "out of the ordinary" situations when I'm not totally in control of my eating and exercise possibilities.
Having little ones in the house, and then birthday and Fathers' Day celebrations threw a monkey wrench into my "plans." Unfortunately, I haven't lost anymore; but somehow I've managed to stay the same. Considering all the tempting situations I've confronted, I guess that's a good thing.
Tomorrow there's another birthday cookout, and next week a family reunion. I'm going to try my level best to stay within bounds...

What a great week it was, health wise!
I lost another 3 lbs, and I have walked 13 days out of the past 15 and have also gone to Curves a few times. This week I'm planning to do my regular 3 visits to Curves in addition to walking 35 - 40 minutes, 6 x a week. I'm so amazed; I can't believe I'm able to do this. There's only a handful of things in my closet that fit anymore, and I've got to make a decision about getting some stuff that doesn't just hang off me. Who would have ever thought, 46 lbs ago, that I'd be facing this problem! LOL!

This past week has been awesome as far as my eating and exercise is concerned.
Thanks to Bonnie, on the You on a Diet team, and her desire to get the team moving again, I've been reinvigorated! I have been walking and going to Curves consistently. I've walked every day, and some days I went to Curves as well. I don't know why I didn't start this regime sooner...
My eating has not been "perfect," but I certainly haven't had a blow-out, and the result is that I dropped 3 lbs last week. I was happy with a pound every week or two, but now I know I can do a lot better, and it doesn't require starving myself.
Tomorrow is the holiday, and we're doing all the usual BBQ foods, including homemade ice cream; but I believe I can keep it under control!
