Wow, it was a tough week last week! We lost our plums, blueberries and the flowers on our azaleas, jasmine and some other shrubs. According to the weather folks, though, the bad stuff is past; so, hopefully, I can get out and work in the yard this week. I surely hope so; it's really put a crimp in my exercise program. I was counting on "gardening" to be my primary source of exercise for the entire spring and summer.
We had a lovely Easter celebration with Laurie & family and John & family! We've had grandkids in residence ever since last Friday and will continue to have "extras" until Sunday. That's okay, though. They're a joy to have around, and they're only small for a little while.
The Gardening Team is doing so well. I just couldn't be more pleased with the fellowship that has developed among many of the members. I think opening the all-purpose thread today was a good idea, so we can get away from just chatting about gardening ALL the time! It's becoming active all ready!

The beginning of a new week and the most precious time of the year on the church calendar. I look forward to Holy Week services and spending time with family this week.
Unfortunately, I didn't get in nearly as much exercise last week as I would have liked. I had a couple of days when I was feeling really rocky--hay fever with accompanying headache. After today's rain, perhaps the pollen will be cleared out of the air for awhile; and I'll feel more like getting outside.
Eating plan went very well. Of course, we ate out Tuesday night before the Celtic Woman concert; and I went off course but got right back on the next day. I'm finding it easier to do that--get back to business after a momentary lapse! That's progress!
Looking forward to a good week.

Wow, it's amazing what a difference a week can make! First of all, I dropped 2 lbs this past week, and I KNOW it's because of being dedicated to eating "clean" and a lot of exercise. Both of these came about because of challenges on 2 of my teams. It was just really a great week.
Coming up, I've got a night out on Tuesday; and that's going to be a little difficult; because we're staying with friends and eating out--two partially uncontrollable situations. All I can do is the "best" I can do and be careful on the days I can control.

Last week was wonderful, and I'm looking forward to good things this week too.
Carol's starting a Boot Camp on GOG which should be fun, and things are progressing right along at YOAD. The Gardening Team is doing better than I ever could have imagined, and along with that, I've been able to get out and work in the garden a good bit. That's always a joy for me.
Linda and I had such a great time going to see Josh Groban at Phillips Arena, and the hotel and dinner were just lovely. What a special gift to have a son and DIL who are so thoughtful and generous. When the concert started, Linda said "Merry Christmas!" How special!

Oh, it's been so wonderful to be able to get out and work in the yard! All winter long I struggled with the exercise issue, finally settling on Curves, which turned out to be a good thing. But gardening is what I really LOVE to do, and now I can!
Weighed in at Curves today and had lost 10 lbs since the last time I weighed back before Christmas. Of course, that's not much pro rated over three months, but it's better than gaining 10 lbs. I'd also lost a lot of inches. I knew that from the fit of my clothes.
Gardening Team is going extremely well. Of course, there are days; but, for the most part they're good days.
