Been awhile since I blogged!

Life throws us so many curves sometimes we get caught up in it and we have to push some things aside. This was one I guess I pushed aside. I shouldn't have though because it really makes me feel good to share.
The last few months have been a huge adjustment for me. Both my daughter moved from out of state home. My youngest came first with my grandson and has been staying with my mom who lives across the street from me. She loves my moms house because she has a huge guest bathroom. My daughter is a Stylist and she can fit her barber chair in there so it lets her be able to pick up some extra cash doing stuff for family and friends. My mom is not capable of watching my grandson all the time so my husband and I made the choice that I would stay home and keep him for a few months and help her out til she got on her feet. Not even a month into her being home my oldest decided to come and visit with my granddaughter. They were gonna be here 2 weeks. Well after the first week she came and talked to my husband and myself and asked could she stay with us a couple of months that she wanted to move back. So it has been very hectic and a big adjustment from just my husband and I to all the kids added in lol. I love it but my schedule got thrown for a total loop. My oldest has Cystic Fibrosis which I have said before but she has had some pretty rough health issues since she has been back and that was a biggie for her staying. She was just not getting the care she needed where she lived. She is doing better and has moved in with her boyfriend and his family. (long story he was her first love reunited and he and his family have been friends for a long long time) Anyway,
I finally sat them all down a couple of weeks ago and said we are all getting on a schedule instead of this fly by the seat of our pants thing that has been going on the last couple of months and it has made all the difference. I have been able to get back to focusing on getting this weight back off and also have been helping my youngest who is now down 15 lbs the last couple of weeks. I am so glad they are all here. I love being able to spend time with my daughters and my grandbabies. I am very thankful to be back on track with my goals and living the life I want to live. I have never been more focused than I am right now.
So many changes over the last couple of years but all for the better. I couldn't be more blessed! Well off to get some things done! I will be back an updating much more often. I love being able to look back at where I have been and what has been going on. Each day is new and wonderful and I look forward to meeting each days challenges!

Another 5% challenge comes to an end.

Well another challenge comes to and end. This one went by so quickly. I have been so busy I haven't been here like I like to be. I did good to keep up with posting my workout time and weekly challenges but I did the work and I met my 5% goal at week 6. I have lost another 12.5 lbs. Plus I have made some really big changes in my life in this 8 weeks. On Aug 6th I will have completed a full 90 days on Turbo Jam. Gonna send in my pics and get my free completion Tshirt. I will have been on Shakeology for 90 days and the difference is amazing to me from drinking it. My skin is beautiful. Soft like I have lotion on when I don't. I normally have little bumps on my upper arms. Gone! I have lost all of my cravings for junk and have been actually craving fruits and veggies. Like I can't get enough of them. I am not using Shakeology as a meal replacement, although that is what it is designed for. I am using it as a nutrition adder because this stuff is packed with 70 superfoods that I could never get the vitamins and effects from in my normal daily diet. Plus I am an all natural girl. I don't believe in chemicals and won't put that crap in my body. This stuff is all natural! It has been one of the best things I have added to my nutrition. I will take pics and measurements this Saturday but I can tell and see a big difference in my results that last 8 weeks. My belly bloat is gone!
I also decided to start my own business and become a beachbody coach. Which is a big step for me after being at the same employer for the last 19 years. I did a lot of research and soul searching before I made the choice though and I accredit part of that to the things that I have learned and done here on sparkpeople over the last several years. My desire to help people has come from the struggles that I have seen not just here but also around my life, my friends, complete strangers that I have watched. We have a huge obesity epidemic in this country and I too have been effected by its dangers. I entered a fast track training program by the top coaches in the industry and just finished phase one basically and start the next on Monday. I have learned so much that I it has just drove my passion for wanting to help others live healthy all the more. I have been doing a lot of personal development and am really getting a lot out of the things that I have been learning. Learning is growing so I have always been open to learning new things but this has been putting me outside my comfort zone and pushing me beyond things I knew I might be capable of to seeing and knowing I am capable of anything I can dream about and set my mind to.
I am taking all the steps to live my dreams and have the life I want. I am so excited about what the next 8 weeks will bring into my life!
I am also working on my own web site and hope to have it up in a couple of more days and I will share it so you can all give me your feedback on what you think!
I also promise that I have more spark time scheduled in so I can keep up with everyone better!
I want to say Thank you and how much I love the 5% challenges and all the work that goes into making it happen. I am proud to be a part of an amazing group of people no matter what teams we are on!

    Congrats on meeting your 5% goal, but more importantly, on all the other changes you have made. I love how happy you sound and how good you obviously feel. That's the biggest win of all. Change and how we embrace it is the key to all success in life.

I'm also looking forward to the next challenge to see how everyone is able to move ahead on their individual paths.

    Congrats for meeting your 5 % challenge. Thank you for being such a inspirational teammate. For me this challenge was tough challenge. My first 5 weeks of challenge, I did not see any loss. I was on my plateau. Matter fact, I gained 2 pounds on week 5. The last 3 weeks of challenge, finally I kicked my butt after the gain and started seeing some result. Last Saturday's weight in I found out, I have one more pound to go to meet my 5 %. Will see tomorrow.

Week 2 Challenge evaluation

I couldn't be more please as to how things are going in my life! I am down 4.5 lbs this week! Only 1/2 lb to go to be back in Onederland! I am working hard and seeing the results of my efforts in so many areas of my life! I really think that the Shakeology is a huge key to the success I am having! It has really helped me keep my cravings an appetite in check! It makes me want to drink more water and I am already a huge water drinker! I also have craved nothing this week but fruits and veggies! My nutrition hasn't been as spot on ever! I have also been putting in hours daily outside working in the yard and still have been coming in to do my evening workouts! I am really stoked about the results I am seeing so far!
My frustration this week was internet issues! I hope that is all worked out now! I can't be without internet running a business from the internet. My business is really taking off and doing great and I couldn't be happier at the excitement coming from the people that I am helping! One of my ladies I coach, lost 5 lbs this week and was thrilled, she didn't think she could do it! I can't wait to see where things can go for her! One of my other ladies came by last night an brought a food journal notebook she has made this week and was so amazed at all she had learned from reading labels and learning about serving size and just being aware of her nutrition! I loved the excitement that she has found from learning and understanding what she is putting into her body. She said it was sure eye opening!
This is so rewarding that I get to share in this! I feel I have so much to offer in helping others find and achieve their goals! I even got my first check this week and have another waiting to come this coming week! Dedication and hard work are paying off for me in all areas of my life and I couldn't be happier to be following my dreams and seeing successes!
I am excited to see what this coming week brings!
I am thankful and mindful this weekend of all the sacrifices that our brave men and women around our country have made for all of our wonderful freedoms! Thanks is so small a thing for so much that you have given!

Week 1 Challenge Evaluation

Feel pretty good with our first week. Had some issues logging into sparks and still having a few bugs but they are working on them. I have been keeping a written log so it all works fine as long as I am following my program! I was down 1.5 lbs this week. I am feeling really good with my progress. I have been on Shakeology for two weeks now and I am really feeling great. I really feel it helped get that scale moving again this week. Been noticing lots of changes, my stomach is less bloated, and looks flatter. I am as regular as a clock. I have got really great energy and I have really been exerting a lot with all of my outside yard activities, plus my workouts. I have been eating no junk, it has killed my cravings for it. I am having to add it as a snack instead of meal replacement because my calories are getting to low with my changed appetite. I am very impressed so far! I can't wait to see my continued progress! So for week 1-(which is actually like week 2 for me) all is going great! Lots of exciting changes going on in my life the last few weeks since I decided to be a
beachbody coach. Several ppl have stepped up an want my help and I am excited to start my first beachbody challenge group on the 3rd of June. I have learned so much in my journey. I am so glad to be able to reach beyond sparks to share and help ppl change their lives and share in what becomes possible for them! So excited to be reaching out farther then myself to do my part to help end the trend of obesity. For the first time in my life I feel like something that I am doing is making a difference in someones life, but also my own. Feeling really blessed!

May changes and 5% Challenge begins.

Wow so much going on with me where to start. May 6 I started doing Turbo Jam and switched from doing my workouts in the mornings instead of evenings. I only did 20 to 30 min workouts just to get used to my morning routine. This week I will start mixing up my workouts according to the advanced schedule. This is the workout that I will be doing for the next 84 more days. I am going to complete a full 90 day program and see my results. I have so many great beachbody workouts I am always just jumping around so I decided to challenge myself to the full program. Plus when I do and turn in my before and after picture to beachbody for completing it I receive a free turbo jam t-shirt. I also started drinking Shakeology. Today was day 7 and I have to say I have noticed some changes. I have had a lot of tummy activity this week and my weight has been all over the place but I feel good. I am starting this challenge with no gain from the last and a little change in my measurements. I have got a lot of energy. I have been doing a ton of yard work and spending my evenings doing training and a lot of personal development time. I was worn out the week before doing the same and this week I have felt really good like I could keep on going even though I knew I couldn't. I also have been feeling fuller and eating less and no junk cravings. My normal is a couple of pieces of chocolate a day and none I have had a piece of fruit or a popsicle instead. I am eating great and drinking lots of water! So I am really please with where I am today and feel good with my plan. I am looking forward to
