do my favorite tae-bo dvd when I get home from work. I havn't done any exercise in forever and I have no excuse not to! BF will be at work so I'll even have the house to myself, no distractions...3 more hours until I get to go home, hopefully my enthusiasm will hold up until then :-p

at my nutrition and fitness tracker? I havn't been back here very long and I completely changed my previous routine. SP told me I was going over my calories burned goal by a significant amount and to change my settings...but it didn't tell me how! Could someone tell me if I'm doing anything wrong...too much exercise, not enough calories in ect? Thanks for any help!

    i think that your calories are in a good range, maybe you have told SP that you are going to burn less calories than you really are burning. when i first started i lost 15 pounds quick, so i started to eat less and exercise more thinking that i would lose weight quicker, well that didn't work out, my body shutdown and would not lose weight for like 5 weeks. then i entered in my correct amount of fitness i was getting per week and SP increased my caloric intake, finally i consumed my calories the way SP recommended and i immediately saw a change and weight began to fall off again, i have suffered a setback this last week or so but i have gotten back on track starting today. Keep positive and you will reach your goal! To enter the correct amount of fintess go to your fitness settings and tell it what you ar really working out. if your are working out 1600 cals a week but only have 300 cals a week listed it is going to restrict your caloric intake like you were working out 300 cals a week, the low calorie heavy exercise diet causes your body to go into starvation mode. so input your correct amount of exercise and it will tell you to eat more, it sounds dumb but it works!

Trying to get back

Its been over 2 months since I logged on here and in that time I've completely fallen off the wagon, regaining 8 of my hard lost lbs and not exercising at all. I don't know why I do that to myself...I was doing so well, eating right and exercising had become second nature and I felt awful if I didn't follow the rules I had set for myself. I've done this to myself before..it seems that whenever I'm making progress something happens and I just slow down until I eventually stop. After watching the scale creep back up for the past few weeks I finally decided to stop just feeling sorry about myself and actually DO something about it so here I am again! I really hope this time I will stick with it...this cycle needs to end now!

Looking over my previous blog entries I've realized I keep doing this...I'll be doing well, losing weight and exercising properly, then the weight loss will stall and I'll slip up and relax my eating for a couple days, get a little discouraged and gain a little, then I'll wake up and be down a pound! Despite not exercising and almost constant snacking I'll still lose...I really wish I could figure my body out...I thought I had and I really don't mind losing after having a couple bad days but its really confusing! Of course then that loss gets me started on the right track again and I'm all set until the next little plateau, when it will then start all over again. Oh well...guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing!

    I find that loosing weight is constant plateaus, than zigzag calories and finally a 3-5 pound loss and back to plateau than repeat. Certainly not an exact science. Your with loss is looking mighty good to me! Vicki

Why do I keep snacking??

I've started snacking at work! I havn't done that since I started sparkpeople and its really messing me up! I'm not hungry, just bored or really craving carbs...cereal mostly. A little would be fine, but I keep grazing like I used to...using up all my calories eating crap and leaving no room for the good stuff. I pack all my healthy food, including snacks, and bring it with me every day, its just the cravings that are killing me! I've really been slacking the past couple weeks...I was doing so well I justified giving myself a break(WHY??). I thought I had got myself back on track but its really hard! I feel like I have to re-learn all my good habits over again. Grr...at least I'm trying!

    giving ur self the break is probably what did it, now ur body is getting use to healthy food again is having to get use to everything and it probably feels starved now that yoru starting over again, i take one cheat day a week so that i dont feel i need to cheat all the time and i get any cravings out of my system in just that one day, it really helps alot!
