Making progress

Thursday, August 25, 2011

I've been working on my weight for 4 weeks...plus 3 days....and have lost 10 pounds so I am really encouraged. I certainly have had all I need to eat to be satisfied. Makes me wonder what I was eating before and not losing weight. I go to WW every other week to save time and money. I like to workout at the local gym 5 days a week. By going there I know I'll have at least a hour of exercise each day. M,W, F is an easy yoga class but still keeps you moving and stretching. T, Th is an aerobics class using weights, stretch band, small hand ball, plus floor aerobics. I really fell better about myself already.

On the Way

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Weighed in at WW today and was happy to see my weight loss is on the way to my goal. I have been very careful to stay on track and it has paid off. Just hope it continues. I have lost 7.2 in three weeks. My goal is to lose 1# per week but will take any extra. I tried counting calories and watching my spark daily goal but as I stated before I need to weigh in and have someone say "good job". I still have to be responsible to myself but different with the personal touch. I really appreciate you gals on sparks that have been so encouraging and adding your personal touch.

We'll all keep moving together whatever it takes.

Congrats on your 7 pounds lost. You are doing great following that program and it looks like its working well for you. I am at a plateau right now shooting to lose at least 2 pounds by the end of August. I kicked up my fitness schedule with more days at the gym and staying within calories range.

You have very realistic goals and should be on your way to meet your goals.
Have a great week !

Congratulation! I wish I could get motivated, but most days I feel semi-crummy and don't really seem to care.

Going for the Gold!

Friday, August 05, 2011

I decided a couple weeks ago to go back to Weight Watchers so I would have to report on my weight plus I really felt the need for support. Some of my Spark friends are supportive and it makes me feel good but I need that personal visit. I made my goal at WW 35 years ago so the program has really changed. I did lose 4.8 pounds the first week. I won't attend the meeting next Tuesday as DH has a doctor appointment but I know I have lost at least another pound so far. I really feel good about my decision. My granddaughter who lives in another state joined the same time so we were both surprised but will be fun to work together.

Great decision, I hope it will help you get back to your Spark goals. How fun to be doing it with your GD. That's more support and motivation.
Quilting is great, but sitting at the sewing machine can keep us away from the exercise we need to do.
Best of luck to you keep me posted.

Thankful to be a Mother

Sunday, May 08, 2011

Another Mother's day that I can be thankful for my four sons, their wives. and my grandchildren....plus all the others who call me mom and grandma. Giving birth is only one way of acquiring family. So many others bring me joy all year around. May everyone be so blessed.

Time to get on the healthy road again!

Tuesday, May 03, 2011

This week I decided I have to stop this food kick and get back to cutting out snacks, etc that I really don't need. I have to break my Texas bad habits! I am faithfully tracking my food. I would feel so much better to see some of these pounds go find some other place to live. The weather is hopefully getting better so I can get outside in my garden and that will be good.
