Gazelle

Sunday, October 03, 2010

I am excited aobut having this machine. I have done it twice so far. First time I did it 30 min. Today I did it for 45. I felt the sweat and burn. It was funny cause my legs were sore this am from the first day of 30 min. It must use the muscles differently than the elliptical does. This is so nice to have it in my bedroom and being able to do it any time I want. I hope it just keeps being a plus that I will want to do it at leat 5 days a week,

Time will tell how it works, it does not burn as many calories as the elliptical but it is raising my heartrate am wearing my heart monitor when I do it and I had my heart rate at over 119 for the 45 min that is a good heart rate to burn, for my age.

So I had a good day today.

I'm glad you are happy with the Gazelle. I also prefer to have my elliptical in my home. Talk to you soon Rose.

I will have to look into the Gazelle. I would also like to own an elliptical. I find I am much more commited to exercising when the machine is in my home.
Good Luck on your new machine. It sounds like you like it already. emoticon

Congrats!! I usually use an Arc Trainer, that's much closer to the gazelle type than the elliptical! They certainly DO use different muscles! I find that I burn way more calories on the arc trainer vs. elliptical, though!

Variation is always good.
Sounds like you have a great machine there. :)

New Machine

Saturday, October 02, 2010

I bought a new machine today, and I used it already doing 30 min. The book said to take it slow, I could feel it in my legs so I am hoping this will be a good machine to keep me in shape and able to maintain my weight.

I hope it will be a good thing to do to add variety in my plan. The more you change things up the better it is to kind of confuse your body so you will lose weight and not get stuck in a rut. So this is my plan for now and see what happens. With having it here in my place I can do 30 min everyday. Perhaps even more than that morning and night just to see what results I can get. Just still have 13 pounds to lose, want to get there by my birthday on Dec. 21, my 60th birthday.

So I did good today, ready to step things up a little. Praying that I will get my results.

It seems like the rainy season hit us here it has not stopped in days and it is suppose to cont. the rest of the week.

Still not well again, I hope to get back to the gym tomorrow. So I had a quiet day, tomorrow morning I get my new toilet in my apartment, so I need to be up at 7:30 for the workers.

Flu Shot

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

I got a flu shot yesterday afternoon and my arm has been really hurting and also my system is responding in a negative way. I decided to rest and not do the weights today and try it tomorrow.

My sister just called from NV had not talked to her in 2 days very unsual. We are getting caught up, her temp is 91 there must be nice, I miss the warm weather. It is cool and windy here. Just like fall. Wonder if we will have an Indian summer here or not.

Back to the gym in the am, canot miss too many days. Though I think I am getting a little better with not panicking and knowing this is a lifestyle change. I can keep it all under control.

Great job on getting it done and RESTING! You did the right thing.

I got my flu shot before I went to the foot/ankle doctor and my arm is really sore, too, Rose. Lift some weights for me today---and I'll teach something for you, lol. Hope the weather will even out. We're cool in the morning but starting to get warm late in the afternooon again.
