So the last few months have been very eventful. I've suffered some losses (though not in pounds), and dealt with a lot of craziness at home and with my body. Tomorrow marks the end of one chapter and the *hopefully* brighter beginning of another. Tomorrow is my last day at work... I can't help but think that I've made the best possible decision by leaving a job that has chipped away at my overall health and made me miserable (in some ways) in the process. Cheers to beginning the next path not taken and paving the way for a brighter and (God willing) healthier future!
Spent the weekend at an AKC agility trial and met some of the BEST vendors ever!! Combination of great products and great prices. I had been trying to decide what to do with Tyler's ashes and hadn't found a permanent memorial item.
There was a woman there that created "Puppy Paws" and part of her business is "Memory Paws." Her website is www.puppypaws.com/
I think you'll be amazed at some of her work if you check it out.
I don't really ever remember carving a pumpkin... I remember gutting them at Girl Scouts once and cooking the seeds, and I remember drawing on them with marker with my Momma... But I don't remember the cutting so much... So, I will consider this my first experience! Since you all know I'm a Pooh Fanatic, I'll let you admire my handiwork...
It was hard work and not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with it!
Joe and I took Phoenix and Harley for a hike on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Neither of us had checked the trail maps before hand. I relied on Joe and he led us up Boughman trail. It was only after completing it that we found out (after later looking at the map that it was a 3.5 mile DIFFICULT trail through the woods... Uphill all the way. We ended up completing it in an hour. I was breathing very hard and sweating like a pig. We walked a little over two miles back down the hill/mountain on the main road and back to the car when we were done.
