It's been a couple of weeks since I can honestly say I "ran" in the truest sense of the word. I have been race walking a lot, and every once in a while, I will break into a jog, but it's not a sustained jog for any real length of time. Since the next 5K is just around the corner on September 19th, and I still haven't decided for certain whether I am running or walking, I decided to let my body make the determination this time around. So today I did some running intervals. I would run for 3 1/2 minutes then walk briskly for 1 1/2 minutes. I did this for 20 minutes and covered a little over 2 miles with a 5 minute warm up and cool down. I'm going to try to get intervals in again at least three more times before race day and gauge where I'm at... Stay tuned...

I read today's "Healthy Reflection" and had a moment... They do happen for all of us at some point!
The quote was "Attitudes are contagious. Is yours worth catching?" Until last week, I would have said DEFINITELY... Even at times today, I would still have said yes. I guess I do have to acknowledge that I am letting others affect me. I CANNOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN. Letting that happens gives them control over me. It gives them control over how I feel, how my day goes, and how I behave. I WON'T ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN.
So as of today, I am going to reaffirm my commitment to reclaim my attitude that is worth catching. I will work hard (struggle even if necessary) to overlook the behaviors of others that aren't worth catching and to show the world an attitude that I HOPE and PRAY to have reflected back to me.
Thanks to all for reading... I hope you all are blessed today and every day!

It took us about 1.5 hours this morning to wash dishes and break camp. Then we were on the road and headed home. We didn't stop at all until the Cumberland, MD exits. We ate at Bob Evans, and I made the mistake of ordering iced tea. The ride was pretty miserable after that... Tea always make me need to urinate for some reason. It must be the caffeine... It doesn't do that when I make tea at home (where I only make herbal). I felt HORRIBLE for DH who had to stop for me. It is more difficult to pull in and out of places when hauling the camper of course. Either way, we made it home safe!
I was SO glad to be home. We did have a great time relaxing together, but it is nice to play with my puppy... She surprised me by finally showing off her new trick on command tonight. So it was definitely a GREAT night!!!
MANY THANKS TO DEAR, DEAR MOMMA FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF EVERYTHING WHEN I'M AWAY! I LOVE YOU DEARLY!!!

Well, we made it through our first day at KD. Park was WONDERFUL today. It wasn't crowded. I REALLY love the Volcano, Flight of Fear, and Drop Tower. We rode those rides twice. We pretty much got everything else in though. We were both pooped at 5 pm. We waited for the shuttle to come pick us up so we could return to the campground. I made dinner and DH fell asleep. He doesn't seem to be feeling very well. I'm just tired at this point. I feel okay though. We are going to try to spend tomorrow in the WaterWorks side of the park. It was VERY hot today, but tomorrow is supposed to be hotter...
Have a great night all!
