Hello All:
Am back on SP because:
1. I needed someone to talk to about the Plan by Lyn Genet
2. I have tried several eating plans and none has really worked the way I want it to
3. I am still not smoking (16 months!)
4. I wanted to check on my old friends.

I quit smoking 5 months ago and haven't gained any weight!! Woo Hoo!
Joined Whole Foods Wellness Club and adopted a vegan diet. Still havent' lost any weight, but I really feel great!

At one point I was writing my eating rules every day. Thought I had it nailed, but have slipped back into sloppy habits. So here goes--clearly I have to write them down.

Eat when hungry, stop when satisfied
Eat at the table, without distractions
Drink 8 glasses of water
Put fork down between bites
Pour snacks into a bowl
Chew food thoroughly
Eat anything you want--only half of the bad stuff.

So hopefully this will make me more mindful!

Today's Challenge--No eating junk just because a hurricane is coming!

I am very stressed over Irene and have been eating junk non stop. I know its just emotional eating. My solution--stick with the apples and other veggies and ride out the storm! Wish me luck!

    Take a DEEP breath, find a great book, pray or meditate-or all three...not at the same time of course!! Many are praying. My sister and niece live near NYC, and they are worried too. We're with you in spirit.

Hurt my back!

Who knew that sleeping in the wrong position could cause so much misery. And I was on a roll with the exercise too! Oh well--I will take my advil and get into the Whirlpool again today. Will try the elliptical tomorrow. Hopefully I will be back on a spin bike by friday.
