I got way too many Christmas cards this year. In addition I got the British lit class I wanted on my night school schedule for next semester! Woot! I am also taking nursing classes online. Many types of nursing are required to study and take the Hippocratic Oath as well, once a religious oath to the god Apollo. "Which profession takes the Hippocratic Oath?
Your answer: Doctors
The Hippocratic Oath, written nearly 2500 years ago, is concerned with the ethical practice of medicine. It is named after the ancient Greek physician, Hippocrates. "

Mark Twain is a top fave of my books. " Some of Samuel Langhorne Clemens' works include "The Prince and the Pauper" and "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court". How was he better known?
Your answer: Mark Twain
All are well-known authors and 19th century contemporaries of each other. Lewis Carroll was also a pen name. Mark Twain also wrote "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", amongst many others."

The Internet is often though of as a distraction to work, more then a boon. Yet the two can help each other. Many people talk about Angelina's adopted kids. However, she is a natural working mom as well, and I respect that is hard work. (Even with money for daycare, it is no picnic.) "Hollywood stars often receive a lot of publicity when adopting children. What Oscar-winning actress has not only adopted children, but has also had several of her own with Brad Pitt?
Your answer: Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie adopted Maddox from Cambodia in 2002 and Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005. Brad Pitt legally adopted both children as well in 2006. Jolie and Pitt had a daughter, Shiloh, in 2006, and twins, Knox and Vivienne, in 2008. She also adopted a 3 year old, Pax, from Vietnam in 2007. (She applied for the adoption as a single parent, since Vietnam's adoption laws make it harder for an unmarried couple to adopt)."

I think this vampire Santa cartoon is funny today and am cross-posting it. Shows like Vampire Diaries and Twilight have pushed the Vampire definition too far. Remember fear of daylight, before magic rings?
The other day I got a mean comment from a lady who was sad about a break up, on my Spark-page. My finger slipped and I said I "liked" that she broke up with her husband. I know some people who have been pretty happy about getting the strength to leave a bad relationship. Ever watch the Chapel show episode where girls at hip hop clubs have "newly single" parties with all their friends, yelling with whistles and kazoo noise makers about their latest breakup? The parents of OJ Simpson's wife would have been far more happy if she had broken up with her husband, compared to what did happen to her. You can't always take for granted that divorce is an "unhappy" thing for people, and they automatically are angry about it. People are going to have strange opinions about things posted on the internet. I have had many people yell at me for controversial things I have said, it is part of Internet activity.
On a happier note, here is a trivia fact I did not know. My uncle in Hollywood knows and has photos with this guy:
"Which renowned American film director, producer and screenwriter is the uncle to actor Nicolas Cage?
Your answer: Francis Ford Coppola
Born in 1939, Coppola was the brother to actress, Talia Shire ("Rocky" 1976) and August Coppola, the father of Nicolas Cage, whose birth name was Nicolas Kim Cappola. Beginning his career in 1963, Francis Ford Coppola was best known for his trilogies of "The Godfather" (1972), the 1974, "Part II" sequel, and the final chapter of "The Godfather Part III"
