Boy did I ruin my diet today.....

Let's see, how do I put this.... For breakfast this morning I had my Walmart brand weight loss shake like I do every morning. I get to work and everything is going great. Then, the parts guys pull out the breakfast list.... they put the list in front of me and I break, I order a biscuit-n-gravy. I can feel my thighs and my butt getting bigger already. emoticon
Well, I tell myself, "don't worry, at lunch you have lean cuisines in the freezer". Ok, I am good with that, no problem.... Well, at lunch I had to go to Home Depot to get some new flooring for the master bathroom and get a new air vent. While I am in the check-out line I grab a Dr. Pepper out of the drink cooler. Not a big deal.... As I am leaving Home Depot I see Capt. D's. Well, I have been craving some fried fish....I give in to my craving and ruin my diet even more today.... How do i recover from this? I figure the best thing I can do tonight is eat a salad with juice. No desert, no soft drinks, no fatty food of any kind..... Let's keep our fingers crossed that this will happen.

    Just know that tommorrow is a new day and that you can do better if you choose too. We all have bad days. Just learn from it if you can and move forward.

    YOU RUIN A PAIR OF GOOD PANTY HOSE, OR PANTS, YOU CAN RUIN A RECIPE, BUT IN REALITY YOU CAN'T RUIN YOUR DIET BECAUSE THAT MEANS YOU WONT BE GOING BACK TO IT.

MAY I SUGGEST THAT THE NEXT TIME YOU FEEL YOU HAVE "RUINED" YOUR FOOD MANAGEMENT, THAT YOU RECORD IT IN THE TRACKER AND MOVE ON. WE DO HAVE THESE DAYS, AND WITHOUT THEM, WHERE WOULD THE REMEMBRANCE COME FROM.

    I had a quote earlier this week that said something like it's not that some people have more will power than others it's just that some people aren't ready for change...when you are ready it won't be so hard...maybe being kind of hard on yourself now is your way of getting ready... emoticon you will get it together...do your best and forget the rest. emoticon

My new home

My husband and I just bought our first house. We are so happy about it. It's in a nice little neighborhood, there is a homeowners association (but it's optional). All the houses are two to three bedroom with one or two car garages. We are redoing the bathroom floors, fixing up the yard, and we will replace the windows and the sliding glass door on the back porch to french doors. We are going to add a patio off the back porch soon. I can't wait until we do that. It will be great. The guest bedroom will be a workout room and office. I think I might even get a futon for it. This whole experience has really made me open my eyes up and see who I am. And it has shown me just how out of shape I really am. I plan on using this and change my habits for the better.

My garden

I am planting a garden with all kinds of great veggies in it. I cannot wait until I can start harvesting it. I am growing several types of lettuce, onions, peppers, broccoli, three types of squash, spinach,watermelon, corn, green beans, strawberries, cantaloupe, and whatever else I can find. It will be great!!!!!

I did so much better yesterday. Even though I know my lunch was not as healthy as it sould be, Dinner did save me. I had swordfish with mrs. dash lemon pepper marinade and scalloped potatoes. I did have a cherry cola but I would never drink a diet cola (yuk). I have been eating better snack foods.

So far, I have eaten pretty good. I know I can do better as far a lunch goes and I need to stop making excuses on why I do not eat the things I should. I do try to eat salads (my favorite is greek salad with feta and black olives) and healthy sandwiches (like subway). Instead I go with Taco Bell or McDonald's or some other fast food place that is not what I need. Maybe dinner will be better for me.
