Actually somehow I got one purchased that will be delivered to my house but I also have one on hold at the ABQ Apple Store. I don't know how the reservation happened. I never was able to get it to make one. I must have had success on one of the multiple trys. It only took 15 hours to get it done. I guess I am stubborn. My husband says I am anyway. At some point it became a matter of principle. OR I am just stubborn as a mule and made up my mind that I was going to get it reserved. It is that stubbornness that I will need to tap to stay at my goal weight when I get there. If I can get that going I will stay a healthy weight for years! My husband and I went for a 30 minute walk before the basketball game started last night. I was cleared to start walking again by my doctor yesterday when he told me I could quit wearing the lovely boot. It was a little sore last night but feels good this morning. I made a list of things I need to get done before I leave for the airport tomorrow afternoon. I should have started last week. My husband will help me since I am going to be busy at work getting everything ready to be off a day and a half. We are having a cookout at my parents house on Saturday for Father's day. The will be easy breezy as far as healthy goes. Well I had best get crackin'. Times a wasting as they say!!
Your request couldn't be processed. Couldn't create your reservation. Due to extremely high call volume we cannot accept your call. These are the phrases I have been reading, hearing and finally been told in person about reserving my new iPhone. I have tried AT&T and Apple multiple time since 4:45 this morning. It isn't like they didn't know they were going to be available for reservation today. I am getting a lot done at work since the web sites take forever to tell you they can't handle your request right now. It is taking about 15-20 minutes each time. The people at the Apple Store here in ABQ told me they have not been able to reserve any phone either so there is no point in going over there at lunch. The servers are completely overwhelmed. Enough bitching about that. I will get one. I was just hoping it would go smoothly. Not much chance of that. I had my foot e-rayed this morning and I don't have to were the boot anymore. Woo Hoo!!!! I have to continue to be careful but I should be good to go from here. Pretty much if it hurts don't do it. No problem. I don't like things to hurt anyway. He said I could start walking again so that is good. I will go to see my Mom and Dad in TN in cute comfy shoes instead of the ugly boot and one cute shoe. Well lunch is over too soon. Back to work we go. I think I will get a pedicure tonight.....
Another week back at work...I had such a good weekend. I am leaving for my parent's house in TN on Thursday afternoon. I am coming back on Sunday so it is just a quick trip to see them. I have a bunch to do this week to get ready for my trip. I am going to get some new blue jeans like the black ones I got from Coldwater Creek. The 8s fit better than any other jeans I have tried. I am going to pre-order my new iPhone tomorrow so it will be waiting for me on the 24th. I have to stay caught up at work or pay the price later. I go tomorrow morning to get my toe x-rayed and hopefully get out of this boot thing. It is ugly and hot. I would rather do airports in my comfy, cute shoes! My temporary crown came off during the night last night somewhere, somehow. They are calling me back at 11A to let me know if the real one will be in soon enough or if I will need another temp. I need to go by Sephora to pick up a couple things for the trip. I will get my husband to run to the grocery to get a couple things to take with so I will not have an excuse to be bad while I am running around the airports on Thursday and Sunday. It is pretty easy to stay on track at my parent's house since my Dad is diabetic. They pretty much do healthy to help him keep his blood sugar under control. I will have to switch and do walking instead of my bike since they don't have one. That will work fine though. I will take my FF&FP dvd with me to do the workouts there. Friday's routine is the Strengthen and Lengthen which doesn't require weights. Saturday will be Lower Body Blast and it requires a chair (easy)and weights which I will substitute something from my Mom and Dad's house. I don't really want to add weights to my suitcase or computer bag. They weight enough on their own! Wow...looks like I will be a busy little camper between now and getting on the plane Thursday afternoon. Should bee able to burn some extra calories with all that going on!!
My husband and I went on an impromptu road trip yesterday. We went up to the Jemez Mountains over through Los Alamos then to Santa Fe and finally back home to ABQ. We had never been to Los Alamos and had no plans for Saturday afternoon. It was fun. The scenery was beautiful and the company was great. We stopped at Outback in Santa Fe for dinner. We would have gone to a nicer restaurant but we were dressed for an afternoon touring around and not for a nice restaurant. Plus I like Outback. I had one of their lighter meals and it was great. I ate only the portions I should. My best moment was when I only took five small bites of the garlic mashed potatoes. I love them so I had a few bites but quit so I wouldn't blow my calorie count for the day. The potatoes actually have more calories than the meat. They are great but just not worth it unless I have had a day or two to prepare for the splurge. I stayed within my goals for all the stuff I track. I was really pleased with myself. I got up this morning and was down on my weight again so I was extra pleased. It made it that much easier to do my 60 minutes on the exercise bike before my Nascar race started at 11AM. I really have to give Spark People a lot of credit in this part of my weight loss adventure. I am somewhat obsessed. As my husband said a few days ago, "It's working for you so keep it up!" I really do think it is going to be the tool that gets me there and keeps me there more than another tool I have ever had. I am really thankful to have found it.
Another weekend in progress. I don't have any plans. I need to finish cleaning out the closet with clothes that are too big (he he he). I usually hate anything that could be described as "spring cleaning" but this year I am not so bummed about it. I am down again this week. I have been a slightly more lax with my calories, intentionally. I have increase the intensity of my Life Cycle hour. I am starting to play around with stuff like that so I will be a little better prepared for maintaining my new healthy weight. I am a 49.5 year veteran of the diet wars, starting on my first at 6 months. What I have never managed to do is keep it off. Of course I have read and studied what I should do to maintain it several time over they years but I usually just stopped dieting when I reached the weight I was after. This time I am trying something new. The old ways have certainly not worked. I am spending some time during the losing stage to figure out different ways to continue to loose. This will hopefully let me know what my body at this time in my life will and won't do as far as calories in vs. calories out. I think that will help me with maintaining once I get there. It is a new technique for me but that is what Spark People has been also and I consider it a life changing improvement. So I got nothing to lose but extra pounds.
